I am just curious as to why? I am very interested in some guys I see that are white, but they never walk up to talk to me. Even any in my classes. Only when they are drunk and on bourbon street do they have the guts. What is up with that?

I have no idea. To be blunt, I have seen black dudes with white girls on numerous occassions. Though I have yet to see a white guy with a black girl. I don't know why the difference.

Well I've dated plenty of white guys. It may seem like they don't date black girls because you don't see it as much as you see black men and white women. But they do! What I've learned from dating them is that alot of them don't know how to approach a black girl. (yeah we are no different than any other girl). But most of them think we don't like them. And yeah it is ture that most black women choose to stay within their race. So they rather just stick to their own sometimes.

But don't let that discourage you. White guys are shy and race cautious. What I mean by that is, that most of them rather not get rejected. They don't know which black girls like whites. How could anyone just know out of the blue? So you got to put yourself out there. At my university there's like %5 black students and the other 95% is white. So I meet alot of them around campus, at parties, games, etc. And when I meet a real cute one I just ask them do they want to hang out sometime. And I've never been told no lol. Their reaction? Shocked! Alot of them tell me they would have never guessed I'd be interested in dating in an interracial relationship. So girl you just gotta come onto them sometimes. If they are not approaching you. Also, if you use the site Facebook. You can also you that as a tool to send messages to guys you like. I think it's totally harmless if the person goes to your school.

I'm sure your gorgeous. So just be yourself. And if you see a cute white guy just go up too him and start conversation. Never know what will happen!! =)

Ask:

MADtv ===> ares spears & Debora Wilson (They really played out the black woman - mammy stereotypes... I thank them for that set back!

The creators of Flavor of love/ Charm school (especially New york & Somethin)... oh and least we forget buck-wild

The Maury show
(do we ever know who are babies daddies are?)... and so conveniently the producer IS a black woman...

and black men... Lets face it they're the worst culprits. They're the ones that separate the stereotypes from reality and air it for the world to hear (i.e. Wesley snipes etc.)

Lets face it the portrayal of the black woman is

A sexualized or overtly sexual

Angry and gold digging

Or have attitudes that emulate the I-don't-need-nobody-neck-shaking-finger-snapping stereotype

I totally agree that it is true that white men aren't beating down our doors like how black men do to others.

Racial stereotyping. For years races have felt very comfortable with their own, which is why Chines marry Chines, Greeks marry Greeks etc. Only in America, because of its immigration, this is changing. It is going to take time for blacks and whites to come together, since they have a history of controversy and hatred.

Another reason is that black leaders, to gain power, have spread the myth that whites dont like blacks coming up in society. These leaders are themselves corrupt---you know who I mean---JJ and AS. They dont like when blacks take initiatives, since it marginalizes them.

Give it time, and make a first move. You may be surprised. Pleasantly.

I have known of a couple of white guy/black girl relationships. But it doesn't seem to be as prevailent as the other way around. Just be yourself and show interest. They may not have noticed you because you don't put yourself out there. (I don't mean acting like a tramp either)

okay, these guys, regardless of their race, are obviously not worth a minute of your time. forget them. Now....i see very frequently all types of interracial couples, including white men with black women....you just have been looking probably at the wrong men....regardless if they're white or black....they just sound like drunken jerks. Go for a decent guy, who cares of their race....what matters is their heart and mind.

I have a white boyfriend and all 4 of my black girlfriends are married to, engaged or dating white guys so you are wrong with the assumption you gave about white guys not liking/dating black girls.
Sometimes some white guys are afraid to approach a black girl they like because they are thinking she isnt into white guys. If you notice you are catching a white guys eyes checking you out, it possibly means he likes you, so you should try going over and saying hi :-)

It does happen my cousin is dating and living with a white woman and they recently had a little baby girl.
If you ask me I think that white guys can be intimidated by black women and this prevents them from going to talk to her?

In sociology we discussed how white women appear to be more 'submissive' than black women. This is why we see it more common for white women to mingle with other genders than african-amercian women.

Hope that tid bit of info helped.
