I called the treasury dept in my state, but since he had remarried 2 months before his sudden death with no will, they say his widow has the right to claim. Me and my sister got nothing from his estate. How should I go about convincing his widow to sign over rights to me and my sister. We are not talking about a fortune, it is less that $1,000. We just want it closed out.

P.S. This woman gave us nothing of my fathers after his death for even sentimental value. ( except his families photos).

I'm doing a science fair on experiementing to find the calories in food. I was wondering, how do the food industries come up with the given calories to put up on the labels? all search engines give me is how many calories food contains and how to burn them......... :((

A couple of days ago, I was backing out of a parking lot. As soon as I put my vehicle in reverse gear, it died instantly. I was able to successfully start it back up again. A couple of hours later, I tried to start it and the check engine light came on. I tried to start it the second time and it was successful. Ever since then, it has started and ran just fine.

Specifics: 2000 Chevy Malibu with about 147,900 miles on it. Routine maintenance such as tune-up, oil changes, tire changes, and other necessary routine things are all that have been done, with the exception of a slight problem with instrumentation (false check engine light readings) very early on, around 50,000 miles -- which has since been corrected. Only thing I have noted lately is if it gets down to 1/3 or 1/4 of a tank, it loses RPM power when going up hills. Otherwise, the car runs fine. (I commute back and forth to work 70 miles a day, and utilize cruise control most of the time).

Especially those who have no connection to the adoption triad (birthparent, adoptee, adopter)? Who are people trying to protect?

I believe that adoptees should have access to their original birth certificate and records so that they can search if they choose to. I believe that the birthparents should have access to the same info for the same reason.

Why would anyone be against this????

They are SUPREMELY OVERRATED. They are number 8 by default because of losses of Michigan and Penn State and Louisville. Look at their last 4 gms. they face Penn State at HAPPY VALLEY. Loss. Wisconsin. Loss. Illinois. Iffy if Juice busts loose, they played them well last year. And Michigan at the Big House. OSU fans think theyre team is good cause they beat Northwestern? Northwestern?!

MY plan was to do my final year this year and hopefully when i graduate end of july next year i'd get married.... but due to the fact i have done not so well in 2 modules i have to re sit only them modules this year instead of going into my final year!!

i have tried to explaine to my girlfriend but she wont have non of it...she is upset and really down and the worst thing is her family just wont accept this.... there all like marry her next year or you ant gona marry her at all... and i think to my self how will i support her all these things dont come easy. I have been married for six years. About three month ago i had a row with my husband . We were in different countries during the time we had a row(I was on holiday for two months).We didnt speak to each other for about month, then i decided to call him from the country where i was and suddenly probably problems with telephone lines I could hear on the telephone line that he was talking to another women and understood from the conversation that he just met her but there is nothing between them.Now I am back and I am 90% sure that he doesnt speak to her anymore but Now I cant trust him and i am very jealous, wherever he goes I I mean after work with freinds or collegues I cant stop being jealous and i dont know what to do. I am really fed up with it.What can you advise to me?
