...ideological spectrum and have therefore made the adolescent attempt to compare it to American conservatism?
It’s comparable to a baby discovering that they have fingers but, you have to teach them that they shouldn’t shove them in their noses.
Someone asked for proof of this when I asked it yesterday, here ya go!

There is a major difference between urging people to live their lives in a certain way, whatever that way may be and killing people if they do not live a certain way. Or as is the case in the USA urging people to accept certain things as does the right vs. mandating people accept certain things as does the left.
Significant difference, one should think.

I do find it amusing. They don't have any idea what they are talking about. They are living in their own world. I am a
Christian, and I don't know of any Christian who espouses the idea that gays should be mistreated or harmed in any way. Just because we do not just "eat them up" does not mean we want them to be killed. I don't know of any conservative or Christian who is against women. When was the last time a woman was stoned in America? When was the last time a woman could not drive or hold a job? When was the last time a female child was forced to have female circumcision? It is beyond ridiculous that the liberals try to equate the way gays and women are treated in America (extremely well) and how they are treated in the Middle East. I doubt that they know what they are talking about. I think they need to take a little trip over there - not as journalists (which the radicals would be on their best behavior) but as real people. They have a mental disorder - the inability to see the truth even though it is hitting them square between the eyes.

As I have posted before:
You know what the real problem with a large portion of the world's population is?
People categorize... Left-wing, right-wing, republican, democrat, conservative, non-conservative, label, label, label, label... There is a problem with labeling, we as a global population of the problem of splitting everyone into groups for one thing or another.
Whether it be by race, gender, sexual-orientation, religion, or views on politics... Not all white people are the same, not all women are the same, not all gays are the same, not all christians/islams are the same, not all republicans or democrats are the same.
People are individuals, whether you want to believe it or not everyone has their own views on topics. My point is, just because someone believe in something that republicans favor, does not make that person a republican. Can't a person feel one way about something without being thrown into a generalized group?
Example: I have always felt that my views on politics, and the popular republican party's views on politics were very opposite. But HERE we have a man running for the 2008 election: RON PAUL, who is clearly doing everything he can to help us, the population of the US. Getting us out of this so-called "war", erasing the income tax, getting rid of the IRS, allowing us to allow our own land without the government getting involved (what is wrong with these things? Democrat, or Republican these are GOOD things). Please check my link below and read up on Ron Paul's views, please.
We are not a special pure-bred species, we are a giant mixing pot of people with individual backgrounds and views. It's when you start stereotyping and categorizing that you show your true immaturity and stupidity.

Conservative and liberal are both labels which are useful in the context of Western civilization, and its concepts of a democratic republic and ordered liberty.
The theocrats and radical extremists do not base their government on these principles at all, so the labels aren't useful when addressing them.
Do you think they see us as allies of theirs, either side of our political divide? No, I believe they see us all as the enemy.
The folks who try to equate politicians opposing same-sex marriage to terrorists flying planes into buildings and beheading reporters have no understanding of political philosophy.
These terrorists will make alliances of convenience with "useful idiots" who may share some of their hatreds - towards Bush, and America, for example - but any terrorist "victory" would not benefit the left for very long.
Again, I am very concerned that many in the West STILL don't understand what we're up against.

I am amused by many things liberals do and say. They seem to think that they are more educated than those on the right. I'm amazed they figured out that radicals are on the right. I know many on both sides of the political spectrum who never went to school beyond high school. I was called foolish for taking out student loans and going to law school because I was putting myself in debt. The person who said this to me is a liberal and never went past high school. She's living right around the poverty line, but has no debt. I have my student loans that I am paying off, but my job allows me to pay those and still be able to have enough to live on and put some into savings each paycheck.
Now liberals, before you get yourselves all worked up over this, I know many liberals who HAVE gone on to college and have made a great life for themselves. I also know people on the right who are now living in poverty, it just seems more are on the left.

I think its stupid, its like when either side compares the other to hitler, which has been done with hillary and with bush.
There is no interest in killing jews by bush or hitler,
the appropriate comparrison is this ackmad ademajohn whatever his name is to hitler,
he wants to wipe out israel and america
the question is what to do to prevent him from doing that,
is containment going to be enough?
he cant go nuclear
i for one dont look to any of the democrats who have more than a percentage point
the idea that there is a commonality between religious beliefs has nothing to do with the real issues,
those who want to hype on the iran is anti gay thing and so are the republicans are insane
no republicans (serious republicans) want to kill gay people, as far as i can tell they just want to not allow them to have marriage
its apples and oranges and it makes the hard core left look stupid

You asked for my opinion so here it is.
I think that as far as intolerance towards gays, the social conservatives in this country certainly have more in common with radical Islam than do American Liberals. That seems to be the issue everyone is refering to in your links and I think it is a legitimate question to ask of Conservatives.
As for the other links, I'm not going to try to comment on answers or questions put out by other posters. They can defend their own comments.

I want one of whatever 'Miss K' is drinking.. . . . .as long as it's legal . Although judging by the fantasy-like answer she produced , my guess is it 's probably illegal .LOL
I always wondered where some of these lefties get their talking points . Especially because so many of them make no sense whatsoever yet many lefties seem to parrot the same responses . . .. . . THEN . . . . . . AN EPIPHANY . . . . . I was scrolling through the channels one night and stopped on MSNBC . Olbermann was on. . . yech . But I watched him for awhile out of pure curiousity . As Olbermann rifled-off juvenile litany after litany I soon recognized that many of his little cutsie 7th grade sayings were exactly what we read on this board , day-in and day-out . Olbermann is the problem . Olbermann appeals to folks who like to chant little cutsie 7th grade phrases . Of course , lefty websites like Moveon and the Daily Kos are also major parts of the problem as well .

Yep. The president of Comumbia's diatribe against A-jad is not much different than what it would have been against Bush or Cheney or The minutemen.
Bollinger used up A-jads time much the same way the radicals stifled the Minutemen.
No difference.

whilst it comes precise all the way down to the brass tacks, radicals and extremists are in maximum cases single concern proponents and have little regard for the wear and tear they convey as long as their one concern is addressed to their delight. Left or precise, apathy could coach to be our superb downfall. the foremost is that Muslim extremists pick us ineffective simply by fact we help Israel. worldwide conflict is in "their superb pastime" considering the fact that they have no longer something to lose. they suspect that dying in martyrdom is an instantaneous pathway to "heaven".and are greater advantageous than prepared to resign their lives as long as all non-believers will perish with them. I concern to think of what's going to ensue whilst Ahmedinejad gets on the breaking point of his want to have a nuclear weapon in his arsenal. Israel would be forced to deliver a preemptive strike and the the remainder of the international would be forced to connect in. i can not envision a robust result from this manner of conflict. Democrat, republican, average of the two, eco-friendly, libertarian, regardless of, all of us face an identical ability destiny. We ought to be sure a thank you to resign extremism now... in the previous it stops us.
