I am an American raising two kids in Europe and I have met some of the most rude, ill mannered idiots in the history of my life. You are not better or smarter than anyone else in the world so why don't you get off of your high and take a good look at yourself? Tell me some things in history that your country is ashamed of doing. I know it already but I want to hear it from you. I want you to say it. Go on now and be the big people you say you are. Let's hear it. Who stood by and watched people die? It isn't just the American people. You are no better than we are and I'm sick of it. Hypocrits!

I am 35 weeks pregnant and currently contracting. I had a meeting with my boss and discussed me returning to work. I said I don't want to do this immediately until baby is 6 months old. We discussed the possibility of working from home and only attending 1mtg every week 1 month after baby delivered. My work is only 15 mins away from home so the 1hr meetings once a week are not hard to commit to. Since I've not had children before I wanted advise on whether this is a good idea or not. My work is not demanding and project orientated so I can make the work fit around baby demands etc. My work would provide a laptop & mobile. I was begining to worry about finances as £112 pw is not enough to survive when your used to a full time salary. I'd prefer non-judgmental responses since nothing has been decided and I'm a 1st time mum so no idea what it'll be like to have a baby. So I'll be working f/t from home 1month after delivery.

I am a student and take private tuition.My teacher is a boy of my age. Generally he is good.I have a girlfriend named purbita. My teacher arindam also likes her. He asks me to send her for giving tuition to her also. I cannot disrespect arindam sir because he is a very good teacher and a very very nice man. I know he is lonely and he needs a friend. Shall I sacrifice my love for my sir or shall I leave the tuition ?

What other ways ar there to sign off a letter which would be more meaningful then "take care". If you know the person well but dont currently have a relationship with them, but perhaps do want to show them you really do care. I don't want to use the word love.

Seems an elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years.
He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%. The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, "Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased you can hear again."
To which the gentleman said, "Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will five times!"

My son lives with me, in a respectable area with nice schools, I would like my son to go to a nice school with a good reputation.

His father doesnt pay much towards my son, I work hard to support us both. I am a Police women.

His father wants his son to go to a school his friends children go to. the school is rough has a bad reputation. He thinks my son should go to.

but I disagree, what rights does his father have over me, can i decide what child i want my son to go to and if not how do i get the right?

I don't usually make such direct strikes at Christianity but this has just been bothering me recently.

All the prophecies about non-believers challenging your beliefs, science bringing up reality that goes against your religion and such ~ don't you realise that it was written that way to give you ammunition against non-believers?

If I were to write such a book, I would include such passages that warn you not to believe people that tell you what you believe is false because they are messengers of [insert opposing deity's name] and will lead your eternal soul into damnation etc etc.

I'm not trying to insult people here, I'm just pointing out that of course there's prophecies like this because the author's thought ahead and wrote things to make you doubt people who (indirectly) challenge your faith.

Obviously this is gonna meet lots of retaliation but please try to answer like an adult.

By absolute nothing I mean absolutely nothing so that it cannot even be talked about except by reference to something that is not absolutely nothing.

Please tell me if I am wrong, but I just cannot see anything except absurdity if science does maintain that the universe came from absolutely nothing.

This is my own position: before the universe appeared there was something that was not any part of the universe, and it was this thing which became the universe.

I am not saying that this thing antecedent to the universe is God; but it is something, not nothing.

But does science really maintain that the universe came out of nothing, understanding nothing as absolutely nothing?

I like to read any statement from any scientists who say that the universe just came about from absolutely nothing, and ask them whether they are not aware that they are saying an absolute absurdity.
