I am an American raising two kids in Europe and I have met some of the most rude, ill mannered idiots in the history of my life. You are not better or smarter than anyone else in the world so why don't you get off of your high and take a good look at yourself? Tell me some things in history that your country is ashamed of doing. I know it already but I want to hear it from you. I want you to say it. Go on now and be the big people you say you are. Let's hear it. Who stood by and watched people die? It isn't just the American people. You are no better than we are and I'm sick of it. Hypocrits!

Honey, i dare you to call me a Hypocrit!!!! im an European and i never said that we are better than Americans or the rest of the world! so please dont stereotype here!!! there are a lot of things in history we are ashamed of, but there is no need to discuss it because we all know what it is, same as im not trying to discuss with you what America did to be ashamed off!! there is no such thing as the greatest country, nation or continent in the world!! they all got their good and bads, people need to realize that.

Oh and another thing, if you stand torwards Europeans with the same attitude you are writing, do you honstly wonder why they are being rude to you?!!!

It's because America is always in the spotlight. Look at celebrities and politicians on TV - there are always jokes about them. It's the same thing. Some people are just insecure and jealous. Also, other countries tend to hold America to a very high standard. If America is supposed to be so powerful, they wonder why "Americans" (AKA the American government, which many people falsely assume American citizens control) are making so many mistakes.
As for the "stupid American" stereotype, it's pretty easy to spot. You'll hear it coming quite a bit from the most ignorant, jealous people you'll ever meet. These same people will be quick to tell you how ignorant Americans are for discriminating against and stereotyping ethnic groups. How's that for hypocrisy?

I'm an American and have visited Europe several times. If you truly love America and are sick of the way Americans are perceived in Europe, why are you raising your children there? It seems to me they're becoming part of the European, rather than the American culture. Rather than expressing anger, you have the opportunity to at least speak rationally to your European acquaintances and express the good things about America.

@James Hitler kinda did take over Europe. That is why 11 million people were able to be killed in his concentration camps. He didn't just control Germany. Maybe you should watch Schindler's List.

Why are you raising your children in Europe? Europeans should be thankful that Americans didn't let Hitler & the third Reich take over Europe.
