Okay I just have to get other opinions on this. How come probably 75 percent believe we need to get out of Iraq and say George Bush is doing such a bad job. Although right after the 9/11 attacks 3/4 of the population wanted to go to Iraq after that sad day. Now everyone is saying we should never have been there. I just wanna know how everyone can change there stories over just a few years.

Ive never been home schooled and neither will my sons, but I just wanted to know what is the big deal for a child to go to public/private school?

I've noticed that numerous people on this forum have stated children who are homeschooled have a social disadvantage. Then SOME parents were on the defensive by saying "There child has friends that they interact with on a daily basis." What?? 5-10 children from the neighborhood? Please. Whats wrong with having different friends from different neighborhoods?

As a child, there is NO experience like a walk/bus to school with your friends, LEARNING IN A CLASSROOM SETTING(even if it includes a little classroom banter, thats what kids do), playing @ recess with your friends, walking home from school, doing homework/class projects with your parents. For those who had a traditional public/private school education who have decided to NOT allow your child to have the joyous experiences you had as a child, WHY? Did you NOT enjoy "being a kid

ive always wondered what other non-native english speakers thought about the english language. im a native english speaker, and i hear that it is a very difficult language to learn....is this true? if so why?

also, do Americans have an accent?? see, since i live in america, i always thought our 'accent' was boring when compared to spanish or russian or even english accents. i know we have different accents (like southern / northern/ western accents) within our country but i found it the same. so do you think american accents are boring? do we even have an accent....

oh, and i know im really curious, but i've always wondered this...how did your english teacher teach you when you can cut out part of a word and put an apostrophe ' ? like i've, i'll, could've, we'll.

yes, i know i ask alot of questions but i am really curious :-D i find languages facinating!

I have read somethings that said that truth is relative. Meaning truth is only what one wants it to be. If this is true does that mean if I get enough people with me I have enough might to declare whatever I want to be right until someone stronger than me pushes me aside and asserts there morality?

Typical 2-story home, approx. 2,500 sq. ft., upper Midwest climate. Some say to set fan to "auto" because running the fan ("On") when the AC is not on will cause the air to continue to gather moisture from the evaporator coils and get dank and cause the humidity in the house to be too high. Others say, yes, the air will be a "little" more humid but leaving the blower setting to "On" will keep the air in the home more evenly distributed between the lower and upper floors.

What should the fan setting be - AUTO or ON?

Thx.

I've lowered the matress as far as it will go but she's still getting out. Is there a way to prevent this!? We don't want to buy a toddler bed because she's still to young to be able to get up and go around by herself, and she's temporarily sharing a room with her cousin, who's going through the terrible twos.
Any help.would be appreciated.

My husband seems to think we need a small backhoe to dig up 5 dead bushes-they are right under our front livingroom window, which bows out. We both have tendonitis in our elbow, so digging hurts and I'm not sure we can dig them deep enough. Any ideas?

I jsut got a set of acrylics as a gift, my mom got them for me becasue she knows I love painting with them. However, i dont' know what brand I used at school, and I don't knwo what the best brand is. These are Liquitex Basics, and I am sure, by their name, that there is better out there, those these are not bad at all. I am jsut wondering who has found a really excellent brand.

Last year I went to the hospital with pain in my lower right abdomen and had all the symptoms of appendicitis(fever, sesitivity to touch, a touch of nausea ect.) . They never found anything wrong with my appendix on the scans and the pain went away after a few days so I never thought anything else about it. On Saturday, the exact same pain returned. I've had pain in my lower right abdomen that are sharp and really painful coming in waves. I know you guys aren't doctors and I plan on going to the clinic as soon as I can, but has anyone else experienced this or know of any conditions that may seem like appendicitis?

I know a 40-yr. old man who is a retired US Air Force Veteran, & he acts as he never went. He has no morals whatsoever. & this man thinks he's a hardcore thug, & he has an 8-month old baby with a 17-yr. old child. What did the military teach him all these years? & he acts very immature, too.

There is a light, a sump pump and a filter. All have been turned off and I have turned off the entire electrical box that feeds these devices. There is still current in the pool. You can feel it if you put I foot in the pool and touch the metal railing or have one foot in the pool and the other foot on wet concrete outside the pool. Can the current continue, even if everything is off and there is a bad ground wire in something?
