#1 is security for us & our allies. 2nd is the economy but I'm not very ideological here, I'm for whatever works. What Bush is doing is working.

Terrorism ( which - under normal circumstances would be a national - rather than a political issue if Democrats in office took it seriously ) ; Immigration ( which every American bears the brunt - & because it means our borders are not secure in these dangerous times ) ; "Fairness Doctrine" ( the liberal democrats in office seek to assault our freedom of speech & try to shut down anyone who says anything they disagree with- or to put it plainly : THE OPPOSITION .) I am concerned that this country has a presidential candidate -(Hillary)who thinks we have" too much free speech" & also wants to stop the flow of info on the Internet . Life , Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness are important to me ! That's why I became a Republican .

The thing that most concerns me is the education system and the dumbing down of America at a time when we must be technologically competitive with the rest of the world. It disturbs me that bright kids are bored in school while at the same time the slower kids can't keep up. Not every child is afforded equal access to education. School districts in poorer areas have fewer resources which means less prepared teachers and old worn out textbooks, while kids that live in the richer school districts have the best teachers and the most up to date school books available.

Until we overhaul education so that every child has the same opportunity at school we will continue to have high dropout rates and high crime rates among the poor. I think schools should be standardized throughout the country so that all school children are treated equally. No Child Left Behind has left many children behind.

This is a really great question! I totally agree with you! I am, right now mostly concerned about illegal immigration. You said a mouth full when you said that it's not fair to American citizens, or the immigrants that are waiting and continue to wait to become citizens. It doesn't make sense to me that those that break our laws and our sovereignty while sneaking over get a free pass and those whom respect us enough to go through all the legal channels be punished. No justice in that!

Terrorism. There are real threats out there, and people seem to forget that. Everyone is focused on global warming (which I think is the biggest joke ever). The biggest real threat that we have right now is terrorism, not just from the middle east, but that psychopath Kim who would like nothing more than to see every American killed. We need people in office who care about that, and will take the steps to stop another plane from crashing into another building, or worse. Because another attack is inevitable, it is not a matter of if, but a matter of when, and if people don't realize that then we are all dead.

The war should be #1 in everyones minds.

Regardless of your views on the war, we should all be putting everything else on the back burner until we have determined a plan that will gaurantee success, and get our soldiers out of Iraq as soon as possible.

We are spending uncomprehendable amounts of money on this war - and still have no definition of what 'success' in Iraq would look like.

I am most interested in the cost of welfare and the cost of this "war on drugs". I think that they have slipped to the back of the importance line. There should be MUCH stricter regulations for welfare as well as a re-evaluation of this war on drugs.

I care about all of them, but the most right now is to get kids out of the killing fields of Iraq. They should have never been sent there, none of them should be dead, and all of them should be home!

That is in the interest of the USA. Maybe not George Bush, but he is not the USA, and in fact, in 2000 more people voted against him than did for him. He lost the popular vote, and should have lost the election!

Probably Health care. Since 2000 health care costs have risen some 300% being totally unchecked. That has got to stop.

Immigration has now overcome my zeal for terrorist eradication....Of course, the muslims still concern me but America, it`s government, and the Mexican populous bother me the most right now.......This is where the `08 elections will be decided......Most Americans are tired of seeing their own country go to **** thanks to those in power in Washington.

Political Correctness. Because it touches everything, and is being used to destroy everything this country used to stand for. Our core values are being erroded in all areas from religious freedom, freedom of speech, immigration, to social standards.
