In the worst way possible?...
Force them to listen only to pop music (meaning 90% of what's on the radio these days AND anything you hear lamebrained teenagers pumping out of their cars), watch only primetime TV (no documentaries or anything beneficial), not to read, and to only eat fast food. Oh--and to never ever learn about what's really going in the outside world; you must force them to only believe what's on TV and to never ever question it.
After about a month of this, if they have any shred of their humanity left, they'll have stabbed themselves in the eye with a screwdriver. It will have been the "pop" music that ultimately drove them over the edge.
