Preggie pops did not work for me at all. I had very bad morning sickness for 5 months.
There were some things that helped a little but nothing made it go away. They were:
1. Keeping food (whatever I could force down) in my stomach
2. Eating dry cereal while still lying in bed, before getting up in the morning
3. Phenergen - a mild anti-nausea medication that my doc finally prescribed

Preggie pops were a life saver for me! Speaking of life savers, those also helped. Good luck! They do make preggie pops without the stick as well so you don't look like a 5 year old with a lollipop ;)

Preggie pops work best for mild morning sickness. If your symptoms have been severe for 5 days, you should talk to your doctor. Try things made with real ginger, like ginger candies.

I was so sick with my son while I was pregnant that I actually had to go to the hospital almost every week for the first 2 months that I was pregnant. The told me to do whatever worked, so I would try the pops or go to the pharmacy and ask them, because there is alot of over the counter stuff that may help. Good luck and congrats about the baby!

You need to really talk with your Dr on this one! There are meds out there now----thank the LORD!!!!--that help you with this! I'm on my 4th preg. and went through the "morning-sickness" (why do they call it that when you can have it at any time and 24 hr a day!?) I was so thankful when they gave me the med., it helped it immediately! But if you aren't able to see your dr yet, you may try nibbling on a cracker even before you get out of bed, nothing really helped me though until I was able to take the meds! The thing is to keep trying different bland things and make sure that you are getting fluids! The thing of caffeine is that you cannot have over 2C in one day, so try to remember this also! Good luck and congrats on the preg.

My doctor advised me to eat something before I get out of bed in the morning, so I would keep some grapes in a bowl on the nightstand. The sugar from just a small handful of grapes before I got up & moving really took the edge off the nausea.
Also, my doctor had me take 1 benedryl if I really felt awful. It would help but I would be really sleepy. (I worked in a restaurant so the smell of food....ugh.) My sister's doc prescribed phenergan during the early months of her pregnancy.
Of course you don't want to take any meds before you talk to your doctor! If all else fails call him/her and tell them you're miserable. There's got to be something that will work for you. Good luck; hope you feel better soon.

Mint tea is fine as long you read the label. Most mint teas are just peppermint alone or a combination of peppermint and other herbs. Although some have peppermint and black tea. And those you can enjoy but just in limited qualities because of the caffeine. Green tea is fine. But watch your intake. Because although it has less caffeine than coffee or black tea it does contain some caffeine. So cup after cup each day is not advised.

Ugh! I know how you feel. I was nauseous all day and all night with my pregnancy. I drank alot of decaf chai tea and it has ginger in it, that helped somewhat. If it gets too bad ask your doctor about perscription anti-nausea medication. I never took it, but I have known women who swear by it!

They didn't work for me !! If you can't keep anything down for 12 hours call your doctor and he/she should give you a prescription that works wonders. I really didn't like to that meds while i was pregnant but I was so desperate .
