My dog has been licking his paws a lot lately and I'm afraid he'll get an infection. How can we get him to stop? My mom hits him or kicks him whenever he does but all that has taught him is to not do it only when she's not around. Any ideas?

let me start out with , im asking to see what people think.
do you think that peples skin color affected where they lived. example where its warmer most people not all but most have darker skin,maby to handle the heat better, people that are from a northern contentint have more fair skin and burn in the sun and heat, i know this is off the wall but im talking in the begining of time .

This has happened twice recently. One of my cats will, in the middle of the night, dart across the bed and into the living room, then lay on the floor and go into convulsions for a minute or two, and then get up and be dizzy and confused. One time she actually pissed herself. Has anyone heard of or experienced anything like this? At first I thought the other cat was chasing her and she smacked her head into something, but when it happened again I thought it was a little too coincidental.

I heard one could get hit but nothing would happen cause of being on rubber tires.( Mountain Bike) Also thinking metal or aluminium would attrack lightening. Also riding in wide open spaces. Am I safe on the bike? Or What?

I want to let someone I like know that the guy she's in a fling with doesn't like her back. He doesn't respect her. See, they were play wrestling and he bit her right beneath her neck and it won't go away for a day. There was even another guy with a girlfriend that told her she needs to leave him alone after seeing the bite right on top of her shirt. He is just using/taking advantage of what he can get, and he can get it and he's got it 9 times just from her. She seems to have emotions that go towards both me and him, but more so to him and are just developing towards me. I understand that it's because they used to go out but he cheated, and I've liked two different people before too so I'm trying to be understanding of her and I'm just waiting for my chance to really show her what I can be. At the same time I'm guarded just in case of what can happen. She just can't make up her mind about how she feels about him. All I know is, this is the girl that made me forget about my troubles with another girl I used to like because she treats me 10,000 times better. She is also lessening the amount of attention she pays the other boy. I kind of like her and I know she deserves better, which would be me. Right now we're just friends and she's said in an offhand way that she thinks I don't like her like that ("My FRIENDS THINK you like me.") We have not said anything about how we feel about each other. I think she does and doesn't like me at the same time. She tells me she likes the guy but she is also quick to remind me either to ignore him when he tells me they're dating, or that they're not going out. I know some of these things because when we talk, either at school or on the phone, she's very open with me.

I like this guy james that i work with and he broke up with his girlfriend of three years to see if he really loved her and he said he doesnt think he does. but we mad out and went swimming. and the other day he came up to me and said i dont regret anything we did and this is nothing against you but i feel like were getting into a realtionship and he says i thinks its better if we dont do anything physical but the thing is i think he has feelings for me.
