Is cuttle bone safe for rats? I want to give my rats some more bird toys, they love them, but some of the ones I want to get have cuttle bone pieces on them...will it be alright for the rats if they eat it??

Cuttlebones are perfectly safe for rats. Because rats gnaw on hard objects and don't chew them like cats or dogs would, you don't have to worry about the hard back of the "shell" splintering off and harming them. The cuttlebone is a good source of calcium, so you have to be carefull not to overdo the addition calcium from other food sources.

You will either find your rats totally ignoring the cuttle bone, or they will have it destroyed within minutes.

Bird toys are a good choice for rats.

it's fine, cuttle bone is just calcium from a squidlike animal.

Um, Cuttle bone isnt a toy its a treat, Better not mate.
Just give them some wet dog food they love it, Well mine do.
