if your cell phone has airplane mode, it is ok to use on the plane, however, watch out, as Flight attendants will still tell you to turn off your phone... as they dont know which phones have airplane mode or not... im not sure if they even know what airplane mode is lol, just kidding

I do believe that using cell phones on airplanes was an initiative but it was shot down by the powers that be. Too many people complained that they didn't want everyone on the plane talking on their cell phones while in such a confined space. Frankly I can't blame them. I don't want to sit there on a plane from coast to coast and listen to everyone's personal or business conversations.

I know that using a cell phone is prohibited at all times on an airplane...but just to listen to music, just don't risk it!

Using a cellphone on an airplane in the USA for any reason is prohibited by the FAA...doesn't want what you're using it for they won't allow it.

i think that if you have a phone that has "airplane mode" like my verizon phone does, then you should be ok..
you should probably ask when you get there just to make sure.
