I tried copying address book as cvs file, then importing onto my 2nd computer. Everything fine until the import was about 1/4 done, then keeps saying "error" and shutting down. I think last time I did this, it was as a wab file...what is the difference between a cvs and wab file, and how do I save it as wab file?

Unfortunately, you may need to go back to your original outlook express computer and export the address book as a wab file rather than a csv file. Not sure why, but that's what I had to do.

Use export menu to export a csv (comma separated values) file then import it back into your new outlook. If your using windows xp you can connect the two computers and transfer all or some of your files, mail and settings with the transfer wizard. You can also backup mail and email settings and import them to your new outlook express.

It is not reliable, but file, export, save as pst or csv. Then import on the new computer DO NOT use file and transfer wizard or those file transfer cables. They often hose your computer(s)

no longer a one hundred% helpful approximately abode windows Mail (have not used it yet) yet maximum mail apps provide help to drag and drop messages and contacts. Make a folder on your very own pc, open it, pass into your inbox, decide on all and drag/drop or reproduction/paste the e mail messages into the folder, it would create a set of .eml or .msg documents. Then drag and drop into the different utility. Contacts may well be completed an identical way. you may desire to doo each and every folder seperately ie. Inbox, despatched products, Deleted products, Contacts, and so on.
