There are only a few things that calms me down when I'm upset, God first of all, it really helps me to pray, because I use to worry about everything, but then I learned not to worry and just give it to God and trust him that everything will be alright. My mom, she just knows how to calm me down, I don't know what it is, but she does. A good dose of fudge and hot choloate. This stuff is amazing and I use it as my "comfort" foods. And last but not least The Mary Tyler Moore show, I don't know what it is about her, but I love her, and that show is just the best at easy my nerves after a long day. Also you could try taking a nice long comforting relaxing bath, that would really do wonders for you, it does for me as well! Add buble bath or bath salts!!! ohh la la

See anxiety at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 6, and practise one of the 5 relaxation methods on page 2 daily, and when needed. Try them all, but mindfulness breathing and mantra repetition can be done anywhere, without anyone noticing.

If you have an iPod then you can listen to someting soothing like jazz or classical music, if you don't have one then you can turn on the radio to something like 93.3 or 94.1. you could also try yoga, my friends mom uses that all the time and it really helps her. Like after a hard day of cleaning. You can all just kinda sit back and watch some TV. Rent some movies once in a while, Or go out to see one.

first of all take a deep breath!!!! now to relax try finding a quiet place and focus on all the POSITIVE things!! and try finding a small problem and find a way to solve it. it will make you feel better. try taking a hot bath and listen to soft music. before bed try drinking warm milk. and try spritzing lavender scented spray on you pillow very lightly this is proven to help some people relax. try talking your problems out to someone even if it s yourself. try writing down your problems. on paper it will make it more clear. start a journal and write on it whenever you have a worry it will help you cleanse your mind. good luck =] you'll figure it out!

Different things work for different people.
Some people use meditation techniques (prayer is one type of mediation).
Massages are good.
Sex and masturbation work for some people.
Person I like exercise and long walks to relax.
Computer games or a good book help other people.
Often the problem is something in your life you need to deal with. If you want to calm down in the long-term you need to deal with whatever problems exist in your life now.

One technique that I like is from a therapy known as somatic experiencing. It is deeply relaxing for me.
First, you settle in comfortably. Then you look around the room and name 5 things you see (out loud if possible), then 5 things you hear, then 5 things you smell, then 5 things (such as pressure from the chair) you feel.
Good luck and best wishes.
