God turned water into wine (alcoholic) / He parted the sea (sure he did), he rose from the dead (sure), Mary was a vigin (yeah, right) and a bunch of other fairy tales. It's a cute story but so fake. Why do otherwise semi-intelligent and reasonable adults beleive this silly talk. I mean I don't know. I wasn't there. It could have happened but I am by no means convinced that this "Magic" stuff happens. It seems truly truly childish. My question is why are so many people such silly heads?

I bled heavily on 2 separate occasions.. it was enough for me to think I was on my period.. but I was going through a tampon in an hour or less.. and definitely went through a whole box in a day... what could it be? I dont constantly bleed heavily.. some days I dont bleed at all... It's almost like an every other day..thing...Oh and I had my check up last week and they said everything was fine.. I dont know

This is my first pregnancy and at 15 weeks I went to see my doctor because I was experiencing vaginal bleeding. My doctor was not there, but another doctor checked me and my baby out and said everything was fine (THANK GOD!). He then asked if I wanted to know the sex of the baby and I was shocked because I thought I had to wait a little longer to find out the sex. However, I decided to hear what he had to say and he told me I was having a boy! I was excited but a little disappointed that it wasn't a girl. So anyways we started buying boy things, telling friends and family, and even picking out names. The following week I went in for my regular appointment at 16 weeks and my doctor said he thinks it's a boy, but he couldn't find the penis!! I have been reading a lot about doctors mistakening an umbilical cord for a penis and now I am getting worried. Could I be having a girl?

I am going through a divorce and so is this man that I am seeing. Neither one of ours is final yet. He has three beatiful boys. I am not ready to meet them yet, however he asked me to go to a family party with them on Saturday. I told him that I would think about it. If I tell him No, I am afraid that it may hurt his feelings. I do love children, but I do not have any of my own. I am sure that I will love his, but I just dont feel like we are at the point where we should meet. He has met my entire faimly, because he knew them already before we got together so it was easier to introduce that we are seeing each other. Any advice? I think I would feel uncomfortable if I go, and I think the children would too. However, I dont want him to think I have a problem with him having children.

Problem 1:

2x² + 32
I know that when there are three terms the constant on the right must be factored and equal, in this case, 32. Would I put 2x + x + 32 to get rid of the ² and to create a middle term to do it the way I'm familiar with?

Problem 2:

(x+1)(x-5)(x+4)
How would I go about solving this? I'm not sure how to FOIL trinomials if that's even what you need to do here...

This was a response I got (check my profile if you want the Q, I don't care either way).

If my wife leaves the gate open and a dog wanders into the back yard and tears up the garden, I do not sit back and watch the destruction simply because it was her fault. If I have the ability to stop it, I will. God supposedly has the ability to stop death and destruction, yet makes a conscious decision to not do anything. It doesn't really matter whose fault it is when it is a matter of helping someone overcome a problem. What a lame excuse for a cruel god!

My point is, many answers here express this exact sentiment, that there isn't a God, but if there is He is cruel and evil. HUH? How can one say there is no God and then bash Him, suggesting He is cruel?

I am not trying to single anyone out here, but there seems to be an epidemic of two-facedness (made that up, I think) on here.

Hi we have a dvd with surround! paid about £350 for it and had it for about 4 years! recently when we go to play a dvd it keeps sayind NO DISC!! however it is not doing this with ALL discs but is with quite a few! everything else ios working..ie surround etc! is it on ots way out or could it be that it needs cleaning?? it is a PIONEER one. thanks xx

which direction should it face to make the house stay cool in summer and warm in winter?

There are study and master room in the front, and family living room in the back. We don't want none of these area to get really hot in summer or during the afternoon.

I sometimes have dreams that come true. Not exactly how I dreamed them, but so similar it feels like deja vu. I've been visited by what I believe to be ghosts or something when I'm just dozing off. It's at the point where I don't even want to dream anymore, so I stay up as late as I can so that I sleep deeply right away. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, in one of my dreams when I was a child, I dreamed that me and 5 other children where playing hide and seek in a cave. I knew all off their names and I saw all of their faces. When we were done playing we all had icecream cones. Sounds innocent enough, right? The summer after the dream we went to a different state to visit relatives that I'd never met before. They owned an icecream store similar to Dairy Queen and they had 5 children. When I met them they didn't have to tell me who they were. I told them their names because they were the same kids I played hide and seek with.
