I have a daughter, and my soon to be x-spouse agree on everything so it would be a non-contested divorce.

She should get the atty. and have him pay half. That way if he tries to back out of their agreement, the atty. she hired will remain her atty. and he'll have to get someone else. Her atty. will already have his case prepared. And lastly the atty. will be looking out for her best interests, even if it's uncontested.

Hope this helps

it depends on the state and country you live in to. I noticed that a lot of people are saying to do it online. It's not leagal in some states in the U.S. so you may want to check it out. I have also heard of some horror stories of them to. Husband not paying enough support or everyting that was agreed to not happening and one has got an attorney and slaps a trial on the other. The quickest in my state is adultrey/ 3 months from the time papers are served for divorce. It didn't happen though in 3 mths since my attoreny was a piece of crap. it took almost 1 1/2 yrs. finally to get the papers in my hands. I would talk to an attoreny first b/c he won't charge you for the first visit mostly. The states also can help for legal fees sometimes.

You can have a do-it-yourself divorce. There is a lot of information on the web. You can get the documents online, file them with the courts and wait the appropriate time for the divorce to be final.

Good Luck

Yes. Haiti, The Dominican Republic, and Mexico all offer quick cheap and easy divorces. The first two offer divorces without a court hearing and take two days at the most. Mexico is a bit more complicated but quicker and easier than in the US.

Go to your local library and ask them for divorce papers, copy the forms you need and file it yourself. It truly can be resolved in 30 days or so and for about $100.00.

My stbx and I are going through www.legalzoom.com. If it's non-contested, they're pretty cheap (less than $300 for us, but we don't have children)
