Its normal to bleed up to six to eight weeks after having a baby wether you have had a c-section or not. You should stop any day now. Good luck with your new little one

did you tell them about the bleeding
when a check up is done teh doc will look for think that usually occur on a normal succumtance so if your case change from being what is normal after a c-section birth
even if last wk things were fine it is no longer this wks
so go find out why you are bleeding and use a pad instead a tampon a friend of mine who is a doc told me that she seen more women with infection after birth because of the use of tampon
Good luck & Congrats

Your body still has to get rid of a lot of pregnancy by-product. One of them being the additional blood volume that you put on during your pregnancy (your blood supply increased by almost 50% during your prenancy to support the baby). It sounds like you are bleeding awfully heavy at times.
* Under normal circumstances with the amount of blood that you are losing, you would be considered as hemorrhaging and need to go to your doctor asap (even emergency room) - though you just had a baby and you are going to bleed heavy. Your doctor will be able to determine if what is happening to you is normal or a complication.
* Generally, tampons aren't going to be efficient with heavy blood flow (the outside fills up before the core can absorb anything - forget about blood clots) - after my children I used the biggest bed-time maxi-pads that I could find and still had leak outs!
* If the bleeding continues to remain heavy and show no signs of tapering off on its own and/or becomes a problem, talk to your doctor about being placed on a birth control pill, it will help you start your regular cycle. I had to do this with both of my children.
* Also, If you are taking certain medications, such as aspirin - they are blood thinners and can make you bleed longer. If you are on medication that might increase your flow, talk to your doctor about their necessity!
* Though, the best advice that I can give you is to talk to your doctor - tell them what is going on. Their advice will ultimately be the best for you.

sounds like you ripped your stitches open in your uterus. It's healing, but as you keep pushing yourself you're causing some problems. I just had a c-section in January, so I know how hard it is to not push too hard, but you need to take it easy. Eventually it will stop entirely. Good luck.

It varies from woman to woman. Are you breastfeeding? I'm almost 6 months PP and i've not had a period yet, and I am breastfeeding. Breastfeeding delays your period.
