Will the families of the soldiers who were kidnapped, tortured and shot vote for them?

Giving islamofascist terrorists too much credit is probably the easiest thing McCain has done all year.

Wait, wait, wait! Let me make sure I understand. OUR government passing an anti-torture bill is going to stop ISLAMOFASIST TERRORISTS from kidnapping, torturing and killing our soldiers? I don't think it works like that. In fact, I think that's insane! Our laws are not relevant to them.

Among the Republican candidates, Dr. Ron Paul and John McCain are against the use of torture. I am pretty sure all the other candidates supported torture based on their answers at the South Carolina debate. Both Paul and McCain served America in the armed forces and this is one of the reasons they support this.

I am not sure of the Democrats positions on the anti torture bill though I would guess more of them would support it though I don't know if it is their actual conviction or just playing to their base in criticizing Bush for Abu Ghraib and other Iraqi War scandals. I hope it is the former if they are elected.

I do not support the anti-torture bill. I think if we know that a prisoner has information that could save American or Iraqi civilian lives, we need to do whatever it takes to get that information. If torturing a terrorist saves the life of a soldier or a civilian it is worth it. Would you want to be the one tell a mother that you could have save her son but you would have had to torture a terrorist?
