I sometimes have dreams that come true. Not exactly how I dreamed them, but so similar it feels like deja vu. I've been visited by what I believe to be ghosts or something when I'm just dozing off. It's at the point where I don't even want to dream anymore, so I stay up as late as I can so that I sleep deeply right away. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, in one of my dreams when I was a child, I dreamed that me and 5 other children where playing hide and seek in a cave. I knew all off their names and I saw all of their faces. When we were done playing we all had icecream cones. Sounds innocent enough, right? The summer after the dream we went to a different state to visit relatives that I'd never met before. They owned an icecream store similar to Dairy Queen and they had 5 children. When I met them they didn't have to tell me who they were. I told them their names because they were the same kids I played hide and seek with.

Also, about a year ago, I was feeling depressed. I had just divorced, my grandmother died, my kids didn't need me anymore, and I felt as if my life was void of any hope of happiness. One night as I was falling off to sleep, I had my back to my door, I heard someone come into my room and felt them sit behind me on my bed. I heard a gentle female voice tell me that everything was going to be fine. Then I felt her get up off the bed, so I turned to see if it was my mother and nobody was there! Now, here I am, one year later. I've found the love of my life, I'm helping him raise his two little ones and I've never been happier in my life!! So what do you think? Curse or gift or just coincidence?

This is pretty unusual. In some cases, people had dreams that turned out to be visions that occurs in the future. So you aren't the only one and it can happen.
But the other part of sort of weird. In Japanese folklore and culture, your strong emotions sort of contacted a spirit that told you every thing will be fine. But than again, you could be so desperate of getting rid of the grief that your mind sort of imagined up a sort of entity that helped you relax and comfort you. I consider this to be a gift since they rarely happen, but just be careful when trying to sort fake in dreams and reality.

I have had dreams similiar to yours but different in some ways. But I refer to them more as premonitions because they are about the future and have come true. I would know things before they happened. Atleast 2 weeks or more in advance. When I first started to have these visions ( I was about 10) I was'nt sure what they were until I kept having one that I would keep seeing every night and even during the day. I could see that I was sitting still but everything around me was spinning. A few weeks later we were going to an Aunts house to help them move. I was suddenly hit with the vision again and then realized what it meant. I told my father to be careful that we were going to be in an accident. He thought I was being silly. We were involved in a wreck that had our truck spinning around on the pavement. I saw the same scenery go by the instant we were hit. Luckily no one was hurt. Sometimes it is a gift and other times its a curse. It is the worst feeling in the world to know someone you love is going to die and there is nothing you can do about it. I have been visited by an aunt and a grandmother. Both of which spoke to me and I to them. Sometimes you get warnings that you can prevent certain things from happening. Sometimes its just a feeling you have about someone. I knew about me son being involved in a horse and buggy accident when he was 5 before anyone else knew and knew where they were.
So it is up to you to decifer these on your own.

I certainly wouldn't consider it a curse and I don't think it's something to be afraid of. I think it's a gift and you just need to put it in proper perspective and use it to your advantage. Instead of being afraid of the "dreams" coming to you, look forward to them. Keep a journal right next to your bed and record things as soon as you wake up while they are still fresh in your mind. Keep track of things and how often the dreams creep up as actual events later on. Keep in mind, some dreams will be good, some may tell you bad things, and some will be just random neutral events~~like knowing the names of those 5 children without ever meeting them previously.

I do not know if it is gift or a curse but it has happened with many people I know and even I have had more or less similar experiences. It is not something that is very rare or totally unbelievable. I, for one, dream a lot but I do not avoid them like you. I look forward to them. Some of my dreams have helped me in my bad times. It is one mystery many people have tried to solve but no one could unravel its whys and hows.....

it may sound stupid out loud but I belive when things like deja vu occur it lets you know you're on the right path. You're right were you're supposta be at this point in your life. So in a sence maybe you were suposta meet these people even if it was for a moment.

i have the same thing but i never dream of good things i have also seen things , but i have tried to change the events in my dreams when they start playing out and i havnt been able to so it might be a gift that i know to expect and brace myself for bad things, but also a curse to not be able to do anything about it. best of luck my prayers are with you.

You were blessed at times in your life when you needed more than anyone could give. You haven't mentioned anything frightening or bad so I don't think it's a curse.

It's a gift. Try not to read too much into it, just let it happen. Don't be afraid of it. It's better than mine. I have a weird way of knowing when people close to me are going to die or come close to it. Honest to God.
