The company is a SCAM, and I will be cancelling my membership. But will it affect my credit?

NO cancelling their service will not hurt your credit due to the fact that Columbia House doesnt report your account activity to any of the 3 major credit bureaus. That said, make sure you pay them what you owe. Because if you dont and they send you to collections, that collection will have a significant effect on your credit score.

If you cancel your membership and still owe them money and you refuse to pay, this could potentially go on your credit report. If they sell the debt to collections, it will appear with your other accounts. If you do not owe them money, then no it will not affect your credit.

Cancelling your membership in something like that does not hurt your credit score at all.

Just make sure you do not owe them anything. They are known for reporting to Collection companies and even are willing to fight these bogus debts in court.

I suggest you read your Agreement with them so they do not hammer you for canceling before a certain date or something.

Good Luck

It depends on whether you are delinquent with them and whether they decide to report you or not.
