My husband never knew his father. When his mother found out she was pregnant, she up and left. About 3 or 4 years ago, my husband and his stepfather were having a discussion, and my husband was told that his biological father used to write him letters. But, his mother threw them all away. Now that we're starting to look for him, she won't give us a lot of information.

Where would be the best place to start? I've been on some genealogy boards posting questions but, to no avail. If anyone could help with anything, it would be great.

This is the only information that was given to us by his mother:

Francisco Javier Jimenez
Born in August of 1963, 1964 or 1965
He lived in the Fontana-Montclair area in the early 80s.
Worked at a furniture store at the time.
Originally from Mexico.
Married to a woman named Antonia, she had a son named Javier in 1984, the same name and year my husband was born. They're very close in age.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

about two weeks ago i was sick too and then it FINALLY went away, and then i was at a basketball game cheering and all the sudden some flem came up and now i have a horrible cough and flem keeps coming up and my throat burns and my chest hurts a little too...what could this be? a chest cold? im not really sure

I know they probably hear every excuse in the book, but you would think they work with people everyday, they would be able to discern from people who are honest and those who are not. I made an honest mistake and was pretty much crucified by an off duty policeman. I know they've probably heard every excuse in the book, but honest to God I was telling the truth and it hurt to be accused of doing something I did not do purposely. The check engine light has been on since a few days after the car was purchased despite numerous "repairs" by the dealer. Have also had other problems such as defective emergency brake, car not starting and more. It is presently completely out of commission, can't start it, and laser ignition key will not even turn in ignition. Dealer will not even return my calls.

For 2 years I have been an independent contractor and get 1099-Misc forms from the company. Last year I entered the amount on the "other income" line and paid a couple of hundred dollars in taxes.
This year, I used the same software -Taxact - and there was no "other income" question. The software had a "are you a business" question and I went through the questions and have to pay $2000 in taxes and $973 in SS and medicare taxes.
Did the IRS change their policy? On the 1040 form there is a line for "other income". Should I just scrap Tax act and do the taxes manually and add the $7000 income on "other income" line?

My close friend declared his love for me about a month ago, we rarely get to see each other so we used to talk on messenger almost everyday and call once in a while...(thats how he got to know me) - whenever we call, we always seemed to end up chatting for about 2 hours

But now his internet has cut off, so the only way i get to chat to him is on the phone, and somehow i feel as though if i talk to him on the phone for 2 hours it would lead him on, and i dont want to do that - i can talk to him on msn for hours on end but i dont feel like im leading him on, but when its on the phone, it feels different...(bare in mind, i dont call him everyday, i only call him maybe about once a week - i used to talk to him everyday, but now i dont so i've resorted to calling)

There's no chance of him and me being together, and ive told him that directly many times, he says that he respects my decision but i think he still has hope...

Whats the right thing to do?
