In Russia they have lot of religious groups. The major one you have is Russian Orthodox Church, you also have Jews (not so much now because of anti-Semitism and lots of Jews leaving the country), you also have Catholic churches, Greek Orthodox Churches, Armenian Churches, Buddhist (there is even a temple in St. Petersburg), and then you have Islam which is growing now, because of the former republics. You also have multiple tribes/cultures living in Asian Russia that have their own traditions and faiths. Most of the members of the Russian Orthodox Church, which is the dominant faith, do not like anyone else. There is some interaction among all the members. It is kind of hard to live in cities and not interact with different people.
