Amazon is a highly acclaimed and trusted site. I'd recommend them over all others. EBGames and Gamestop have websites that are trusted as well. You can't go wrong with any of those.

I've bought from Amazon.com twice in the past. Super Saver shipping is slow (Expect at least a week's wait), but it's free, so that's nice.
Really, it's not too bad. I haven't had any problem with them, although I'd make sure it's Amazon.com itself if you're looking for better prices.
Personally, I've had no trouble with Ebay in the past, although I'd be cautious there. EBgames and Gamestop seem to have quit the Playstation 1 games.
If you really don't trust Amazon or Ebay, I suggest looking for a used games store in your area. Where I am, there's Game XChange and Game Traders, you'll probably find something similar if you live in a decent size city. Don't be afraid to look up any retailer in the area, call, and ask ahead of time.
If you can't find any other place that satisfies you, feel free to drop an email, and I'll see what I can find.

I have sold many things on amazon.com. I have sold video games, books, and even bought a psp there. It's a really good website. Unlike ebay, it's easy to buy and sell stuff. The only thing is that they charge a fee for selling stuff. It depends what it is. I sold a gameboy and they took like 15 bucks, but for other things, they are light on the feeing. Once, I even bought a ps2, and he said that it was perfect, when I found out that it was missing a ps2 hard drive. I told the guy and he never answered back. Amazon gave me full refund (including shipping) out of there pockets. Amazon is probably the best marketplace out there.

I trust Amazon.com completely. I have ordered from there multiple times, including the marketplace and have never had a problem. I don't trust most websites but Amazon has always come through. They let you know when they ship something. One time I received my order several days before I had expected it. I highly recommend them.

I think Amazon is a great place to shop. Many of the online stores are actually selling through Amazon because Amazon has a good name.

I love Amazon.com! I buy a lot of books, movies, & games from them.
If it tells you how much I trust them, we've already preordered Harry Potter VII from them. I ordered IV, V, & VI also from them and they were delivered the day the books came out.
