I am stuck on a problem with a simple electrical circuit. (I am studying independently, and so I'm not trying to cheat on a homework). The problem is sort of shaped like this: [-]. It has a 2.0 volt battery at the top with an internal resistance of 1 ohm. It has a 1.0 volt battery at the bottom with an internal resistance of 2 ohms. And across the middle (parallel to both batteries and also in between them) is a resistor of 2 ohms. I need to find the current across the 2 ohm resistor. I know the answer to be 0.42 amps, but I have know idea how to get it. Please can you help?

Whenever i'm installing my printer, i have my cd-rom in, and it's installing, then it ask for me to connect the USB cord, and turn on the printer. I do just that, and it won't ever pick it up. It will pick up the printer as a drive though, it goes under the removable storage drives under "my computer" and then sometimes it will says that an error occurred with the printer. But when i connect the printer to my laptop, it works just fine. I have a brother MFC 420-CN printer. if anyone can help me out, it would be great.

I am a college student, and I already have about 40k in student loan debt. I am in a situation where I really need to move (its stressful where I live and I need a new environment). There is no one that I can live with, and I only work part time (its hard to go to school full time, work full time, and keep grades up). Is it a dumb idea to take out 15K in private student loans to get an apartment and pay the rent for a year and utilities? Also, I don't have any credit card debt or anything, and I have someone who is willing to put his name on the loan application as well. What are your opinions???

For the last 3 weeks I have been having bad pains in my back and muscle spasms they did an x-ray and found I have severe inflamation in my back and they have now ordered an MRI. Today I noticed that I am not having much pain could this be due to the fact of the meds they have put me on and it is masking what the problem is? I don't want to do un needed tests. They have me taking ibprofen 600mg and cyclobenzapr 5mg. Any help or advice.

How is saying "I don't like blacks", racist. Yet saying "I don't date blacks", not racist? Only one word has been changed in that sentence.

if you had blocked or mishaped tube would you ever concieve?
i had an ectopic and people have worried me by saying this means your tubes are blocked or mishaped becauser the docters couldnt find a cause no infections previous surgery etc...im really worried docters checked after with ultrasound wouldnt that be visable and through laproscopic surgery when the ectopic was removed?

We cannot do efile because everytime our tax agent goes to file our taxes it comes up that someone has claimed the 4 kids. Each year we have to send the kids report cards and any medical papers we have showing that we have had sole custody and care for these kids. Is this our only recourse? The irs has been informed, they are the ones who told us to send the kids papers, but this hasnt stopped the problem. She hasnt seen these kids in years, I believe is on welfare with atleast 3 other children, how can she or possibly even her and her mother continue to do this?
