I've tried several recipes ... they always make the outside quite tasty but the inside is always completely uncooked and tasteless. Does anyone have a recipe that will cook the inside?

The thinner the Tofu the quicker the inside will cook. However, if bigger pieces are appropriate, try cooking it at a lower temperature than you have been for a longer amount of time. (The lower temperature will help keep the outside from burning).

I like stir-frying Tofu in a little oil with broccoli, red onion, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and some sesame seeds. I suppose that I cut the tofu into about 3/4 inch cubes.

I don't know how long it takes, but I usually wait until the outside of the tofu is pretty dark and crispy.

I think you are looking for marinated tofu. Try soaking the curd to allow whatever flavors you desire to penetrate the interior (just like you'd do with flesh). If your tofu is cold in the middle when the outside is done lower your heat and allow it to cook longer.

Try using tofu to make a smoothie by using 1 part tofu, 1 part banana, 1 part other fruit and 2 parts ice. Blenderize until smooth, creamy and delicious!

You could also try replacing the ricotta in Italian dishes with tofu! Mash some spinach or fresh herbs into the tofu before baking Lasagna, Manicotti etc!

BTW: freshly made tofu isn't tasteless! It has a mild, sweet taste with a very tiny hint of bean. It's the store bought stuff that is tasteless since the flavor actually leaches into the water it's packed in.

Slice the tofu thin. Since tofu pretty much has no flavor it will only have flavor where the herbs/spices touch it.
