It is a bit wrong to turn someone down simply because of race, but we are free to choose our partners are we not?

I can see what you are saying but consider this as well. If for example i, a black female said, i dont date blacks, i only date white guys. That wouldn't make me a racist. So, yes there might be some people whom say what you were saying and are racists, but others are just staying what their dating preferences are, and are not racist.

I see...so if I do not want to date someone that I am not attracted to, I am prejudiced towards that person? Well then, in that case, I suppose I am racist, as I cannot stand to date, or be around stupid people. They bore me. It is a matter of attraction. It is one thing to be friends with all, but far another to date and be sexually attracted to all....that is never going to happen anywhere, anytime, anyhow. The basis of this question is flawed.

Frankly, i'm thoroughly wiped out over the persistent race element. Why oh why won't be in a position to we in simple terms pass directly to extra important matters particularly of obsessing over who's what coloration and what are they doing to a minimum of one yet another? it style of feels particularly puerile and unmarried minded. My finished kin is a blended bag of racially and ethnically blended souls and that i by way of no means think of roughly it. It in simple terms surprises me as a subculture and society we nevertheless sense compelled to taking part in that card while all else fails. it quite is colossally small minded.

Unless you have personally been told that a person does not want to date you because of your colour then thats rasict but if someone says no to you and doesnt make a reference to your colour then you are the one being racist because your assuming they dont like you because of your colour
dating is about going out with someone because of their personality kids doit forprestige among their peers if your popular everyone whats you and colour heritage etc dont mean jack.

If I say that "I don't date my brother" it doesn't mean "I don't like my brother." I don't dislike everyone I don't want to date. Most people find specific races more attractive. I'm friends with a white guy who loves Asian girls, and a white girl who usually dates black guys. So what?

Racism is so ingrained and accepted, it's easy to deny. People delude themselves about it because (1) racism is considered bad and (2) nobody wants to be considered racist, even though everybody is, to some extent.

I think it's different. Just like someone might say "I don't date redheads." It doesn't mean they won't be friends or whatever, but many people have a specific physical type that they won't date outside of.
Plus people might be concerned with how their families or society in general would view them in an interracial relationship.
As for my tastes, hotness knows no color. If he's fine, I don't care if he's green.

You have to remember that in some cultures, dating outside your race isn't acceptable. The same goes for some families. As much as someone might want to, they may not be able to weigh what they want against what their families want.

What a bunch of bullshit! When it comes to dating and marriage MOST people want to stay amongst their own and there is NOTHING wrong with it! It's definitely not "racist"! It's a question of having pride in your family, ancestry and culture.
I love these people who claim to value different races yet are perfectly content if everybody mixed into one coffee-colored single race.

I agree with you. When someone is limiting themselves to just one race...I think they are very narrow minded. Our hearts, souls, and minds have no color...so why does the skin make a difference? I always think something intellectually is lacking is someone who says they only date a certain race..or they won't date a certain race.
