I understand that the Hobbits all escaped and went back home to the Shire.
I was just wondering why Frodo and the others get onto the ship at the end.
I was thinking that they were floating to their deaths since their rolls were done in life or something like that.
My boyfriend claims that they are already dead and the sunset is a symbol of them dying.
I said that they couldn't be dead yet, because if they were, they would be ghosts like the ones that helped fight and won their freedom.

I was just wondering if someone has read the book and can clarify or maybe someone caught something in the lines of the movie that explains.

I have only seen the Return of the King 1 and a half times (this time, tonight, being the half) , and was unable to pay very close attention this time.
I was just curious who was more correct in their interpretation of the ship.

have been dating a guy (henceforward 'guy A') for 2 years and aside from some insurmountable problems (don't ask, just believe), we like each other very much. But because of this problem we have decided to part and we agreed that this would happen whenever one of us met someone else. It was, and is, a mutual decision.
Now, i met guy B a few weeks ago (he's an artist) and i think i like him. We haven't had sex yet, or even kissed (I'm a Westerner living in Asia; sometimes you have to wait a bit longer here...but it's worth it), but we (both guy B and myself) know it will happen soon.
In the meantime, I am still enjoying all the delightful treasures of guy A (sex I mean), and I don't plan to stop until guy B and I have 'consumated' our relationship.
Both guy A and guy B are unaware of each other's existance (for now).

I'm a healthy western girl who likes to have sex...That's not so wrong...right?

My granny is in her eighties and her joints are getting weaker each day, especially her two kneecaps, which are really hurting. It really pains my heart to see her condition deteriorate, she used to be able to limp her way around, but now she can hardly walk......knee guards and health supplements for the ligament doesn't seem to work, or maybe this is juz something that the elderly have to bear with as they age......anyone out there with any experience care to share their solutions, or even offer me some things my granny can do, I would like to thank you beforehand because I really do not know what more I as a grandson can do to ease her pain......

I know it's hard for some people to swallow. Maybe (some) Christians tie Islam to terrorism because they're both in the middle-east, and they don't like the idea of terrorists worshipping their same God, who knows?

Anyway, I feel I need to point out that I'm not asking for anyones opinion of this, or whether or not it's true. I already know that it is. I just need some documentation to back that up, and it's hard to find... probably because of the reason I suggested in my top paragraph. If anyone knows where I can find evidence, or claims from reliable sources that the same God is worshipped, I's appreciate a link.

Wearing shoes in the house is a big no-no in my home. I think it is a Canadian thing (and Japanese) to remove your shoes in a house. I could be wrong though.

As for socks, I love taking them off after a day of being on my feet all day. I won't wear them unless it is cold.
