Actually, I'm not asking in regards to issues with a child wasting energy - I'm asking in regards to a really wasteful childish ROOMMATE! She is always leaving lights on all night, TVs on all night, and most annoyingly - turning the thermostat from "auto" to "on" so it runs 24/7! She is so incredibly wasteful with energy that I'm about to go crazy, and talking to her about it hasn't shown any improvements - infact, I think she's getting worse as a way to get back at me.

So, have any parents used timers on the lights, or a certain way to shut the energy off, or a certain tamper-proof thermostat that they could recommend to me? I'm so sick of paying a $200 utility bill for such a small apartment, I could just puke. I'm desperate for a solution. I'm going out of town in a few days for a whole month, and I'm terrified of how high the utility bill will be without me being around to shut lights and TVs off for her.

I belive in God and Jesus, but God knew what would happen to people and what they would do as he is God! so why did he bother?
I mean Jesus died for everyone: Why should he have? People need him nowadays as some don't even belive in him! And God knew who would be evil and God created everything including evil, why?

i'm not sure but i think he got into a fight. he came home and he's really beat up. he has a scratch under his eye, but what really worries me is that all of his front claws have been ripped out. is there anything i can do for him (besides taking him to the vet)? i can tell he just isn't feeling well since he hasn't groomed himself and he is sleeping more than usual.

Would you give a former street cat a home?
I've recently set up a website aimed at getting some kitties that live on the street near my place into homes. It has live streaming video of the kitties needing homes at night, and my kitties in the day. For awhile I was getting a good response, but now it's quietened down, and I need to figure out how to get it happening again as I've already taken 3 months off work for the project and really need to get some of these kitties into forever homes! Ideas?? It's for a good cause...I"m paying for the desexing, vaccinations, aids & FelV testing etc.... the site is http://www.kittiesinthehood.com...

i was watching this show called 'on the beach' which speculates the consequences of a nuclear war between the US and China. In it, basically the entire human race is doomed because of the impending nuclear radiation covering the entire earth. What's the probability of that scenario happening if let's say nuclear bombs were dropped in two locations on the globe? will the radiation really spread to the rest of the world?

whats the point of an audio/video reciever?

can i use it to put a 720p signal into it and have the reciever upscales the image to 1080i?

i have noticed that these recievers have video out and video in, so i wanna find out if it can upscale an already high def signal?

like can i run my ps3 into it at 720p. then have the reciever upscale the 720p game to see it in 1080i on my tv?

or is this not the point behind an audio/video reciever?

This girl told me she loved me & wrote poems to me, & love letters and buch more stuff for like almost 2 years, But back then I didnt LOVE her, I just liked her out all the girlz, Plus she was too young to date, 2 years pass by, & I really began to Adore her, We began to date & I fell deeply in Love with her, Everything was so perfect at first, Then we started breaking up & getting back together couple of times over stupid lil conflict and Rumors, We broke up agian, and this time its seriouse. I have tryed to Forget her and Move on but I cant, Shes in my mind 24-7, I cant Work, I cant have fun, I cant Sleep, I get like 2 to 3 hours of sleep, a night. When I see her my heart beats so Fast, Hard and I get the Butterflies. I cant enjoy life, My life is upside down, I tryed going to another state, meet other goodlooking girls, but that still dont work. I feel so depressed, I dont care about life anymore, I dont want to wakeup. I Love this Girl to death, & I mean Death! What can I do??????

Hi I'm about to turn 21, usually in NY when a person turns 21 their license expires and they get a new one that doesn't say UNDER 21. Unfortunately my license doesn't expire for another year. I was just wondering if I would be let into a club or bar to drink if I was 21 but still help the under 21 license. My friends are planing an outing and I was just wondering if I would run into any issues.

Three guys enter a disabled swimming contest. The first has no arms. The second no legs and the third has no body, just a head. They all line up, the whistle blows and "splash" they're all in the pool

The guy with no arms takes the lead instantly but the guy with no legs is closing fast. The head of course sank straight to the bottom.

Ten lengths later and the guy with no legs finishes first. He can still see bubbles coming from the bottom of the pool,so he decides he had better dive down to rescue the head.

He picks up the head, swims back up to the surface and places the head at the side of the pool, where-upon the head starts coughing and spluttering.

Eventually the head catches his breath and shouts: "Three years I've spent learning to swim with my fuking ears, then two minutes before the whistle, some **** puts a swimming cap on me!"
