My computer got a trojan on it, so I was re-installing windows XP. I'm using a disk that I got through my campus, so it's a volume licensing edition.

The computer crashed twice while I was trying to install. The 2nd crash (the computer just shut off) came right at the end of the install, so I'm not sure if it installed all the way or not.

But now when I reboot, it does ask for the windows login (Administrator and no password seem to be the only option it will take), but once I enter that, it crashes...giving me error code 0X80004005 and saying it can't validate the registration key.

NOW...the other problem is that I can't get my machine to "boot from the CD drive". It says to press any key...and I've tried every key...holding down the key, pressing a key multiple times...but it just doesn't go to the CD drive.

Any help?

I'd love to work in either marketing or public relations/communications, but I'm having such a hard time deciding which one I should pick for grad school. Job growth for both disciplines is expected to grow tremendously in the next 10-20 years.

Any suggestions on how to come to a decision? Application deadline for grad school is drawing near. Thx!

Three months ago a girl called on my cell-phone and told me that she want to be my friend. I was reluctant at that time but, I agreed on the next day when she calls again. That girl become a good friend and, we call each other almost every day and talk things that we both enjoy.We have many things in common but she has told me that she is a different religion believer.The most interesting part is I am almost falling for her now.I don't know what I have to do now.
If any body in the family finds out that I'm having a relation with such a girl,it will be the end of the world for me.They are very strict when it comes to religion.
I'm really worried and don't know what I have to do.Do you think I have to tell her every thing and continue with her and let the things with my family get flamed?

Do you think that cartoons made decades ago should be censored to make them more politically correct by today's standards?

Certain sterotypical portrayals of minorities (blacks as servants, American Indians as savages, etc) bother some who feel they perpetuate the stereotypes and are outraged by the images. Others may feel that they are so outdated and exaggerated as to be harmless.

What about violent scenes in those same cartoons? Should they be cleaned up, as some have suggested?

What are your thoughts? Should Bugs Bunny and friends be censored?

I've heard people say that women, or men, who stay in abusive relationships "should expect" the abuse because they do nothing to better their situation. I've even heard it said that they "deserve" it because they don't leave the abuser.
I have a family member who puts up with the most horrible emotional (and I suspect physical) abuse. She let me read an email from her ex-b/f, (she tells me ex, but they still communicate) and it sent chills through me. I can't understand why she would tollerate this. She won't change her email address, cell phone number, or even block his messages, and I am at a loss for advice for her.
Any thoughts as to what to tell her as she seems to be so unwilling to put a stop to this.

i've wanted a lipring for quite some time now.. im almost 16.. and have looked up ALOT of info on the subject.my parents are totally against it.. and say that it will leave a scar and i wont be able to get a good job with a lip ring or a scar from a lipring. i didnt think that it left a big scar.. does anyone know?

any ideas on how to cover a lipring, scar size, or how to convince parents to let me get one??
