For a prepaid card you dont need a SSN-- its like a gift card. For a 'secured' card that would be reported on your credit report, you need an SSN.

Prepaid cards should work. (I use a reloadable American Express prepaid for iTunes with no difficulties.)

I like the prepaid card through PayPal. Plus it even gives a percentage cash back every time you use it.

Your bank should be able to set this up for you.. in fact they may offer it themselves. Call your local branch and inquire about setting one up.
