My dog is on a medicine for seizures called phenobarbital, and he has been having gas like crazy, REALLY bad gas. He pukes up what looks like bile, and has yellow diarrera.

what is this a sign of?

he is an 11 year old lab

Take the dog to the vet. Have the liver enzymes checked also.

Our 9yr old chihuahua has been on phenobarbital for the past 6yrs. She has never had any of those reactions. It does still make her sleepy. If your lab is vomiting & has diarrhea you should absolutely take him to the vet. I just don't think it's related the medication.

I would contact your vet with regards to this question, he/she would be the one to ask. He may need his phenobarb levels checked. Good Luck.
