From the perspective of an atheist, listening to a believer, on whether God exists.

1. Which God? Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Buddha, etc.
2. Which sect (assume Christian): Catholic, Methodist, Calivinist, Lutheren, Episcopal, many others, etc.

Note: the atheist is justifiably skeptical right now. In their mind, all these choices, and I as a believer made the right choice, and everyone else is wrong.

3. The Bible. The fact is that many books were written, and few were chosen. How do they as a skeptic know they were the right books to select.

4. Dogma and doctrine that is developed by people to decide what the Bible meant and what the specific religion is. More faith.

When looked at this from an atheists standpoint, thru their eyes, it seems absurd. The believer is many faith steps away from God. They are right, and others are wrong. The atheist is still at step 1. No wonder we argue and never get anywhere.

some one just answerd a previouse question of mine about rap music and made a rather bold statement about people needing to open their eyes and see that not all rap music is bad and i was wondering if they would like to expand on that statement and tell me why they think in that case rap music has the controversy that it does and are they saying in thier opinion no rap music at all has a negitive influence? of couse this question is open to every one not just that person inperticular!

I hate it when people on buses insist on playing their music through their mobile phones, as if everybody else WANTS to listen to their awful R&B (or whatever).

I have been married to my husband for 3 years and been with him for 4. Recently I discovered that he is a member of several different online dating cites. I thought at first that it was from before we were together but in the past month he has joined 2 more. He also told me that he had not been checking his email for the past 2 years but I found that to be a lie as well. When he joins these dating cites he says he's not married, prefer not to say, or married but looking. I just dont think that is appropriate for a married guy. I confronted him about one (only one) and he lied and said it wasn't him someone else did it! Whatever! So help me out here I dont know if I should just forget about it or let him be single if thats how he wants to act.

I only want to see what questions I have up and running and I can't get onto the page. My machine is having an 'everso sorry, but we're going to cut you off' day. Is there anything I can do? I have a friend's cell phone number in Manila and would like to send an sms using my computer. I have accounts with most of the popular IM programs, i.e., AOL, Yahoo, Talk, Windows Live Messenger, and ICQ.

Is there a way I can just enter my friend's cell number into one of these IM programs (or any other free program) and send an sms message? I would like the receipt of the message to be a surprise. Does my friend have to sign up on the same IM program, making receipt of a surprise sms message impossible, or can I just send it to a cell number, like here in the USA? Replies from people with actual experiences in sending sms messages to the Philippines would be appreciated.

Derek my mate, recently got a new laptop. Since then he never answers the phone or his front door nor does he call me.
On the odd occasion that he does answer he says "Mark, really busy call ya later" but never does!!
I'm getting fed up with the way he treats me.
First he gets married(I can wait), then there's the kids(cool I like kids too), then there's the job, the operation, fishing tournaments, etc, etc...I could go on and on and on.
I have to wonder sometimes if he loves me at all?
He told me as soon as he has the money he'll leave her and we'll marry in Amsterdam cos it's not legal in Ireland.
I cant wait, I dont want to wait, why should I wait?
I've already given him 20% of my inheritance.
He needs a sharp shock!

Cause this money originates from backers that can only work with Republicans. Democrats have different agendas and those lobbyists do not hold the same interests.

Saying that money will just go to Democrats is ignorant.
