I hate it when people on buses insist on playing their music through their mobile phones, as if everybody else WANTS to listen to their awful R&B (or whatever).

Does this really wind you up too? Other than putting your own earphones on, how do you deal with it?

Yes I hate it. Mainly because the sound quality is always terrible. Really tinny, hardly any bass at all.
Its as if they are saying "look at me! I like jungle music and truly cheap audio equipment! Aren't I great?"

Also they are obviously scum. Usually smelly teenage boys or girls with a 'classy' curl of hair superglued to their foreheads. Always wearing at least one item of tracksuit clothing.

If I'm with a big group of people I laugh and point, sometime I do a derisory dance. If I'm on my own I shrink into the special hidden place in my mind where I have the power to make people's heads explode.

I don't go on buses, really, but when driving, I do get annoyed with the same type of cretin who insists on sharing his so called music with everyone in a ten mile radius.

I find that spitting at them through the open window is very therapeutic.

i listen to my music but with the volume low enough for me to still hear it but at the same time it doesn't annoy the other passengers. and yes, i find it a tad annoying when you're on the bus and the music is so loud you cannot help but hear it, no matter how much you detest it. i don't understand people that do it anyway, in having the volume on their mobiles or whatever turned right up. its as if they're trying to either wind people up or its a way of theirs of getting people to listen to this song. unfortunately, i don't have the guts to go up to them and tell them to turn it down, in case of a physical retaliation and/or being threatened.

what also winds me up is when people shout as they talk to someone when using their mobile phones so you could hear every word they're saying. i find that not just irritating, but rude also.

Yes, this is VERY annoying - especially when it's chav's playing 'chipmunk dance', that has to be the worst type of music ever. The only way I deal with it is to put my earphones in - I'm not the type of person to say anything.

I get the train, but the other day I found out playing music through your mobile phones loud speaker was breaking a bylaw. Check with your bus company, you never know it maybe the same...

I've never really seen that but it's as bad with people who use the cheap 'hook in ear' earphones and play the music so loud you can still hear it even when you're on a noisy train.

Yes these people are ignorant and stupid, I have thought about sticking the phone up were the sun does not shine on a number of occassions but the fact is if you do that you end up in prison for assaulting some spoilt little brat who needs a good hiding.

It can be very irritating, just remember though if they have the music blasting in the ears that loud, they will be damaging their eardrums and will eventually go deaf. I think it could be a little risky these days asking them to turn it down. If you feel that they are approachable you could ask them to turn the volume down a little bit as you can hear their music too, but if your'e not sure best not to approach them.

Yes it is annoying. I still remember when as a middle school student the little kids would bring there recorders on the school bus and start playing them. Finally the bus driver made a threat to take them away and the children stopped. I did my best to ignore if but if it got to me I asked the children to stop. I knew most of there parents to so of couse they stopped.
