sol: x^2-6x=3
coeff of x is 6, so divide it by 2 and square the no. i.e u get 3^2=9
add this no. on both sides of equation
x^2-6x+9=3+9
x^2-6x+9=12
(x-3)^2=12
x-3=+12^1/2 ,-12^1/2 (this is square root of 12)
x=3+12^1/2,3-12^1/2
