i think you should get one if you want one! the good thing about piercings is you can always take them out if you're tired of them (unlike tattoos!). with my parents, i would always give them an alternative, like "well, i'm either getting this or a tattoo!" and they always go for the piercing! also, it doesn't HAVE to look trashy. if you're a trashy person, then you will look trashy with or without a lip ring! i think they're hot! go for it!
and don't worry too much about scarring. sure, it might leave a tiny round scar, but nothing a little make up won't cover. and that scar medication might help, too! (if you ever want to take it out, that is)

I think you should wait. Almost 16 or not, you have some time. Wait until your 18, a legal age as an adult to make that decision, this will also give you time to think about if you really want to go through with it.
My sister wanted a bellybutton ring so bad. She went against my parents consent and got it done anyway. Afterwards it wouldn't heal and it almost got ripped out a few times. In the end she took it out and let it close up. It was a waste of money, my parents trust and a lot of pain for nothing.
So just chill out. You can live without one for a couple more years, and maybe by then you won't want one anymore, you're still changing thats why 18 is when you become an adult, not almost 16.
Good luck :)

Hi!! I have a lip ring and it don't leave a big scar. Its just a little hole. It's not hard to find a job cause you could always take it out. My parents didnt liked the idea but i told them if they let me have one I'll clean around the house more often. If you think it's gonna cause you a lot of trouble and your not really comfortable about having a lip ring then is better not get one.

as a person with piercings let me tell you its a lot more than you barganed for. besides the fact that people look at you totally crooked with this piece of metal sticking out of your face it is a lot harder to be taken seriously. it will scar if you take it out, some scars are small some are big, it really depends on if it gets infected or not. that's another thing, with a foregin object in your body you have to take extra special care of it like washing it every morning and night. most people get piercings because its a fashion statement, keep in mind what kind of statement that ring or that scar will make when you're older. things like that don't just go away.

If you waited this long, what's another 2 years for when you are 18? And while I'm not actually against peircings...facial ones besides little tiny diamond studs in the nostrills are so unattractive. And gonna guess you would have a scar, although not huge...but would be noticeable up close and person (example...if you've seen closeup shots of Christina Aguilera's face (or however you spell her name), you'll see.

First off, why do you reduce? Is it for awareness or do you surely get the frenzy of endorphins from the reduce. (I'm asking in view that I'm an ex-cutter, and I truthfully bought the top from it.) Also, simply recover from it. Life is difficult, and this suggests your truly man or woman. Challenging occasions must carry out the quality in you, no longer the worst. If you're susceptible, you're going to fall in view that of errors and hardships. Strength comes from studying from the ones errors and disorders. If you do not desire to begin once more, then DON'T. I comprehend it can consider like an dependancy, however it is not. Its the weak spot that you just feed into. Your weak spot means that you can slip again into the self-pity bullshit. If you are powerful sufficient to quit as soon as, you are powerful sufficient to quit for well. So stand again up and recover from it. You're a large child now and its time you began performing adore it.

It leaves a scar! You will hate it in your 20s...the important years. I pierced my nose against my parents advice. I also got a tattoo. I hate them both now. I can just imagine me at age 60 with a wrinkled tattoo. I tried to have a cosmetic surgeon repair the hole in my nose. No way, it would make my nose turn up just a bit on one side. Best advice...ask a cosmetic surgeon if the hole can be repaired with out being noticed. Best advice, if something won't be in style for years to come, don't do it unless its temporary and easily removed.

Lip ring's usually don't cause scars unless serious trauma has occured ( being ripped out ) . You can usually use a clear plastic ring called a "retainer" to disquise the ring ...... I have no clue on how to convince your parent's ... that's your job !!! but good luck !

It will leave a scar, and I think in a few years you wont want this. Wait until you're older and can make your own decisions.
