Here in the UK we seem to hand out benefits to all the assorted scroungers without too many questions.
Is it about time we tore apart and revamped the whole system.
Several examples:
benefits would be given only to those who GENUINELY need it. and for a limited period. too many spongers see benefits as a way of life
If your unemployed you get basic help for a maximum of 3 months then your on your own..Anyone can find a job, may not be your frst choice but there are jobs!
council housing should be emergency housing and tennants have a maximum of 18 months, the houses should not be sold to tennants either.
the more services you use, the more tax you pay.
I'm single with no children yet pay for schools, youth clubs etc etc.. yet there is not a single benefit to which i'm entitled.
the NHS would be revamped also, there would be the option to opt out of paying national insurance in order to go private or insured. Also N.I contributions would cover full dental and optical costs.

I saw that when people crossing Mexican borders are caught and detained they do not stay in holding for long, just enough time to get their names then they are trucked up and taken to the border as they walk back across. If they catch people from South America for example, they are taken to another location and held longer as they are processed for deportation and your tax dollars pays for their airfare home. If an Asian for example comes here legally and overstays his visa, he is hunted down and jailed and then held for deportation and the USA pays for his flight home. It appears to me that Mexicans are singled out and due process of law is not happening, what do you think?

I am moving into an apartment with a married man on the 27th of this month. He hasn't been with his wife for about 4 months. She has filed separation and child support papers. She will likely file for divorce once she is told about the rental agreement we signed. He has two daughters, age 8 and 3. The 8 year old likes me and doesn't mind me hanging around or even dating her father, but she, like most children, ultimately wants mommy and daddy to stay together. Today, he told his daughter that mommy and him were never going to get back together and that he is going to be moving in with me, whether she likes it or not (of course, she's a bit upset, but he did tell her that he loves her very much and always will). It's very unlike me to get involved with a man in this sort of situation, but in my heart, i know it'll all work out. I need some outside feedback to let me know if i am in the middle of something that i shouldn't be in or if i'm right where i belong.

Sunday polls showed Republicans gaining on their opponents in almost all states. Is this because people were polled just before or after church?

My sister is 13 years old, and we share a room. For a long time, she was constantly "borrowing" my things and leaving them on the floor. Clothes, CDs, makeup, hair products. Nothing was safe. Then I put a stop to that, and said she could no longer borrow anything of mine. Now she's making me feel guilty and starting fights. There was one this morning, and my mom yelled at both of us. I don't hate her, but I HATE living in the same house with her. I don't even want to go home after school and get her attitude again. HELP!!

I think it's ridiculous! We make our kids buckle in the car. Why is it the one vehicle that transports our most precious cargo hasn't taken the responsibility and added seat belts to the bus? It's the one place we should feel comfortable putting our kids. Something needs to be done!

seriously. you're all running around killing each other over ridiculous nonsense. you all have terrible fashion sense and you spend way too much on cheeseburgers. your grammar is atrocious and the mentally challenged can spell better than any one of you. i am tired of your religious whimpering, your scientific horseplay, and your marketing gimmicks. i wish i could tell you all to just go back where you came from, except i come from there too and what i really want it to be alone. is that so much to ask? leave me alone. i'm tired of you people.

I use a Nikon F6 with 2 lenses, 24 - 70 and 74 - 200. Now when i mean to go Digital...i am confused. I saw both the Canon EOS D400 & the Nikon D80 (comparable in their price ranges). Someone suggested a astronomically costly Nikon D2Xs. Lenses with Canon are costlier, Nikon cheaper. I've used Nikon and enjoyed using it. But digital is a different ball game. And in my peer group...its an aging fold. Help me (and honest answers from users please...I've photographed professionally for over 20 yrs now). i'll really appriciate help. If I walked 3kms before school, than had a low-fat yoghurt, a piece of whole grain toast, an apple and a banana for breakfast, than for lunch have some tomato juice and a chicken salad pita bread, what could I have for a snack, fufilling my daily food requirements, and being healthy enough to lose weight?

(I would tell you what I would have for dinner, but my mums in charge of that, so it changes everynight.)
