I was in Peace Studies and I was presenting my project on Colorism(racism against skin tones) and this white girl was telling me if black people have this problem with skin color they need to get over it. I'm so sick off so many white people saying that! White people don;t understnad what some non-white people go through living in a all white country. I've been called blackie and burnt choclate by my own people, how can I get over it? And my great-grandmother used to tell me "don't stay in the sun too long or you'll get dark" I can't ust get over it. White people never had to deal with changing their hair texture to fit in. I went to a ob interview for Starbucks and the manager said that my hair isn't apporapiate because it was in braids.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and her bio-dad has not been in contact with us for almost 2 years! I was never married to him either - unfortunately, he is not paying child support. When we broke up almost 2 years ago, he agreed to do so, but has not followed up on it.

I know I probably should have done this earlier, but I am now attempting to get full legal custody of my daughter. Do I have a good chance of getting this?

I'm also tired of having to contact her bio-dad anytime I want to take a vacation with my relatives out of the country! He's not part of our lives and I think it's ridiculous that I have to get his "consent" in order to take my little one on vacation out of the U.S!

Also, I know I probably have to get an attorney to get things rolling - any suggestions how to find a GOOD one whose rates are not up the roof?

P.S. I am a single mom of just one toddler. :) Thanks!

my dog just had pups about 2 months ago... it was a pain in the ***. my husbands dog just went into heat for the first time and some dumb *** dog got to her before we knew it. i cant handle any more puppies!!! we were going to get her fixed after her first heat, but can we still do that now if she is pregnant and it's early in the pregnancy?

i had a lawyer,to take care of my ssi desabilaity case, and said that it was turnd down the first time, well ok! but hhe said he field to go in front of the judge, it has ben 18 months !! now ssa, says he has never filed anything sence it was denied back in 12-22-04. so now i have to start all over !thats bad etheacs on his part, where can i find a lawyer to sue him, in the state of colorado can need some one help, tell me where to find a lawyer that will do this? o yes i turned him seven r. waldmann in to the state bar , but , you can geuss how that will go, got any thoughts on this help!!

My husband and I have been going through some rocky times lately. We truly love each other and are committed to our marriage, but it seems we never connect anymore. After we had a huge fight today I decided that I want to ask him to pick me up at a nice hotel in a nearby town, go out to a nice restaraunt but I'm not really sure how to go about it or what to do next.
