And I like him, right? We only talked a couple times and hes in my English class. I have no idea how to approach him because I'm new, and he's shy, and my friends barely know him too. Have any ideas?
(FYI- Homecoming's coming up and he doesn't have a date either...)

just walk up to him one day in class and say "Hi. You know I'm new here and i don't know many people but i really want to go to homecoming. i heard you don't have a date either so i was wondering if you would want to maybe go with me?" a lot of people put the we're just friends date down but there are a lot of good points to it. you get to know him better, he gets to know you better and if he has a really good time you'll be stuck in his mind. plus you never know when one of those dates end up being a relationship.

It doesn't matter if your new. If he's shy then you have to make the first move yourself. A great way to get to know each other is to talk! Just ask questions like what's your favourite movie, what sort of music do you like, etc. And if you both share an interest for example, a favourite band, then you start talking about it. It's that easy! And when you pluck up the courage, ask the guy out for the Homecoming! Hope I could help! Good luck!

ok i got you on this one. is he a smart dude? if so, ask him a question on an assignment, and if u se him in the halls, say hey, and if he says it back, work your way up to talking more and more whenver you get a chance, then he will more than likely ask you about homecoming.

well... ask him to go to homecoming and if he seems to not like the idea of it as a "date" then go as friends...who knows u might not like him as much as u think u do...or he may find he likes u more than he thaught he did!

well maybe this is strange for girls to do but you should invite him somewhere like a party, movies, anywhere you know as a date so that way youll know him a lil bit better. As you say his shy, you should talk to him, start a conversation and make him talk, get to know him.

just walk up and act like you want to have a conversation. be careful if he's touchy on dominance. don't try to act like the queen of the world. act like your around your best guy cousin. just talk... see what happens.

god, i love a shy guy
