I am in the Sierra Foothills. (of Northern California)
2400 feet. (give or take)
Its dark outside, while I go to get firewood, and this is the second time I have heard this creature, "along the house" its is like a snorting, gasping sound, with its body plunking quickly along away from me. (yea I know about flashlights)
Its just like a pig or hog that is pissed off and cant breathe right, sound!
Have not seen it yet and am wondering what it is, as it only comes out at night.
thanks
Hey, ok, I admit it kind of freaks me out and being that I am not in the mood to look around at NIGHT TIME - ALONE for it, I just thought someone out in YA-land may know.

I have been a housekeeper for almost sixteen years. I have worked in dozens of hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts' and inns. My question is what is more important to you, the traveler? How clean your bathroom is, the landscaping of the hotel, whether or not there are scuff marks on the walls from luggage carts and the like...what sticks out the most to you when you're traveling? Do you choose a place because of the name or because you've stayed there before? How much detail of the cleanliness of a place are you really noticing other than how clean your room is? I mean, I know that's the most important but I'm wondering about the little things outside your room, what are you looking for in a place to stay that's going to feel as comfortable as home?

I'm ready to move to a new city. I was thinking either Florida or California since they have pretty beaches you can hang out at all day if you want to. I have 2 grand saved up is that enough to start somewhere new until I find a new job? Keep in mind that I only have a high school edcuation and the only work expereince I have is working in warehouses and doing some odd jobs, but I'm wanting to get into something else.

I've been a six year employee and recently (Oct) had hours cut way back. For Two weeks I was given 5days off each week and for another two weeks I was given 4 days off each week! This has not happened in any previous year. Two of my fellow employees received the same treatment.

Colleges often host small trips for students who pay a small amount that covers amost all expences, such as Cedar Pointe, Ski Trips, etc. Has any one ever heard or know of chaperones attending these trips?I think that college students would be mature enough to be responible. I'm researching this for my boss. :)

I am looking for a nice, clean, relatively cheap (under $200 for the night) hotel room for the night of Saturday December 15th in Atlantic City. The closer to the House of Blues at 801 Boardwalk in the Showboat Casino the better. Also, the cheaper the better. I can find hotel rates, it's just hard to figure out how close they are to the venue. Thanks for your advice!

I come from a small village in Ohio. I would like to keep it small, but perhaps outside of a city where possibilities are endless. My main concern is climate. I hate winter! aside from that, the average three bedroom apt. here is around four hundred monthly including utilities. I cant afford more than that. I would actually like to buy as I own my house now, and cant imagine paying rent. the wages also need to be good to afford the cost of living there. I have an offer to go to Lebanon TN. Thats what has my mind turning. I have two kids and a disabled mother to pick up and go with. To me that is scary. Any ideas on places and resources?
