Arkansas!

Home of Walmart, Ranger boats, All-tell (though they recently sold out), Acme brick, Riceland rice, Tyson's Foods, J-B Hunt.

has a nuclear plant (plenty of power to go around in such a small state)

is building a bio-diesel plant

has a diamond mine

has the hardest wet-stones on the planet (it's the only known place on Earth where the novaculite mixed with silicon when it was formed.. until laser technology took over, arkansas wet stone was used to sharpen all of the US's surgical tools)

Ports on the Arkansas and Mississippi rivers.

a plethora of natural springs for fresh water.

it has plains, wetland, mountain and delta ecosystems (so you can grow pretty much anything somewhere here)

I'm sure I could go on if I just had to.. but I'll bore you no more :)
