I have a layover in LA from 1.30pm to 11pm next week. I am willing to travel by taxi around 1/2 hour away from LAX, but cant decide where to go.
I am looking for stuff to do near LAX for around 8 hours. Cheap is best, but I wont be entirely poor (have been on vacation, and this will be my flights home back to Australia).
Would prefer to just go to one place, not getting cabs from one place to another.

My friend is going on holiday to America in July and is worried he won't be allowed in. He is not sure if he actually has a criminal record or not but he did get a fine of around £500 for something. He read somewhere that you aren't allowed into America if you have a crim record, does anyone know if this is true and how he finds out if he has one?

By the way people, im moving from maryland to california which is my last stop. i chose cali because i want to become an actress and im thinking time consuming wise. so please help me. This trip will be for my 87 year old Grandmother, my mother and myself. My gran doesn't want to stay above the 3rd floor. We prefer to each have our own bed. We are splitting this trip three ways. We don't want to spend over about $30 or $40 EACH per night. Any ideas? Also would like ocean front property.

I need driving directions from Manchester NH to Walter Reed Medical Center. The FASTEST way. I've gotten so many directions, from 8 hours to 5 hours. If I can get directions for 5 hours, that would be awesome! Anything less then 7 hours would be perfect! Please help!!! Thanks!!

It took me a year to get her to get a job after she graduated high school. Finally, she is employed full time at WalMart, so I went out on a limb and helped her to get a car so she can get back and forth to work.
Last nite was the 2nd time she called me from Walmart to tell me she needed gas money, or she was not going to be able to get home.
This left me getting up at 6 am this morning to drive 25 mi to give her money to get gas.
This is ridiculous!!! I just bought her a gas card for $45 bucks and she ran all that out of her car and spent her money on a body piercing.
She lived with her dad from the time she was 11 till she was 16. and somewhere in there she stopped maturing. She is so irresponsible, I cannot take this much more. She is just ridiculous. We live within 10 miles of a mall and she cannot get a job there for whatever reason. I need her to knock it off. We have no bus service since we live in rural america. She cannot ride a bicycle to work.

My fiance and I have recently discussed moving to a small town in Florida. We are looking for a town with a small population and is very quiet and remote. We prefer country scenery surrounded by lakes or rivers. We are quite aware of White Springs, Live Oak and Lake City and are not interested. We would like a place that is located somewhere in North Florida and has reasonable prices. Somewhere to kick back and to smell the fresh air. I am travelling to Phoenix and Sedona with my family next year. I am now requesting quotes from major rental companies but I am hopeless when it comes to tick the boxes for insurances etc. Can you advise me on the good average coverage to choose ?
