I am planning a trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon for later this year and I was wondering if there were any cool small and possibly odd places to visit on the way to either of those places? My sister wants to see the Cadillac Ranch and I want to see if I can find the World's Biggest Ball of Twine....things like that.

Anybody born/raised in Texas now living elsewhere? How do you explain to everyone what it's like back home? I've been out of Texas for 3 years and still can't quite get the picture across.

Free and inexpensive places are preferred. (And not truck stops. They seem like a prison to me...)

I wonder if people in Alaska (either locals or visitors) have to wait until late Spring to start doing anything outdoors. When do bricklayers or other construction workers can do work???

Im planning a quick 2 day 1 night trip to ocean city. it was a spur of the moment thing with my boyfriend we have no plans and were on a budget?

is it possible to find a cheap hole in the wall place upon arrival? we have very low expectations we basically just need a bed and a bathroom.

MUST we make hotel/motel reservations to get a good rate or can we just show up?
whats to do (cheap/free)?
how old do u have to be to get in the casino (not gamble, just get in)?
is there a strip or downtown area where we can just walk and observe?
is there free parking in the city area?
is salisbury,md very far (in case we have to stay there and drive)?
is it worth it to stay in salisbury and drive to ocean city?

really ANY help will do THANX!!

I finish college at the beginning of May and want to travel until the end of June. I start grad school on June 25th. I'll start in Maine, drive across the country to Seattle and then down to L.A. and back to Virginia for school. My roadtrip will probably cost me a lot in gas, but I want a great adventure before going back to school for 3 years. ANYWAY, where should I stop along the way? What are some of your favorite attractions, summer festivals, cities, national parks, etc. Im definitely going to stay on a budget (camping out, sleeping in the car, crashing on couches and at hostels). Hopefully I will bring my sister along with me to share gas costs. Any suggestions on things that I should not miss out on?

Someone please point us in the right direction on where and what we need to start from. I am trying to get him to come over for a visit. With the VWP he can do that without a passport. However, we want him to stay the WHOLE 90 days, which is allowed. Will I just book a flight 90 days from the depart date? I dont guess he can come over on a way-one and then us book his flight at a later date. We want to get married and we both know its going to be a long process, but we just want to be with each other NOW!! Can we please get some info. I have checked on soo many sites and just feel like crying cause im so illiterate to this kinda stuff and I know that there are ppl out there that have been here and have ended moving here and I just really need some answers. PLEAAASE Help us!!!!!
