Im planning a quick 2 day 1 night trip to ocean city. it was a spur of the moment thing with my boyfriend we have no plans and were on a budget?

is it possible to find a cheap hole in the wall place upon arrival? we have very low expectations we basically just need a bed and a bathroom.

MUST we make hotel/motel reservations to get a good rate or can we just show up?
whats to do (cheap/free)?
how old do u have to be to get in the casino (not gamble, just get in)?
is there a strip or downtown area where we can just walk and observe?
is there free parking in the city area?
is salisbury,md very far (in case we have to stay there and drive)?
is it worth it to stay in salisbury and drive to ocean city?

really ANY help will do THANX!!

-You can just show up, I did that and was fine when I first went down there before moving, you can find a lot of cheaper motels up past the boardwalk (33rd st and up). But you can generally get good prices as its not tourist season right now.

whats to do (cheap/free)? Umm, there are a lot of go kart tracks and fun stuff like that around the city, a lot of the businesses closed for the season right now unfortunately.

Umm, not sure which one you're talking about?? I lived there and didn't know they had one?

Thats the boardwalk, inlet to 33rd st.

There is a park and ride in west ocean city, if you park in hotel parking lot you're fine, as long as its the one you're staying at. Inlet parking is generally not bad though.

is salisbury,md very far (in case we have to stay there and drive)?

30 minutes away, I wouldn't recommend staying there though :P

is it worth it to stay in salisbury and drive to ocean city?
Salisbury is not a very nice city In my opinion, high crime too, supposedly highest assault with a deadly weapons per capita in all of md.

I've been to Salisbury, and Ocean City. To me, there's not much in Salisbury. But Ocean City has a lot to offer. It was beautiful. I stayed at a motel, but since you're on budget, maybe there are people who can offer accommodation for free -- http://www.hospitalityclub.org/ . All you do is sign up and become a member (yes, for free), hope this helps. For good food, but may not be so cheap, you can go to Seacret(s) restaurant. Outside, there's a nice view. I could felt a breeze. Other than that, I do not know anything but a club denied me from getting in, because I was not yet 21. Hope this helps.

you should pass visit Atlantic city once or extra and perhaps pass to a performance on the Boardwalk hall. it really is an previous construction. there is truly some historic past the following. I went for the first time the former day and placed it turned right into a lot extra different than Ocean city, MD. all the races were virtually gently divided. i imagine it really is thrilling. yet they're proper about the ghettos so beware.
