Tennessee is an gorgeous state, particularly in the mountains in the eastern part of the state. There are a lot of well-known attractions such as Dollywood in Pigeon Forge and the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. Nashville is a major city with all the museums, shopping, etc. you'd expect to find. An assortment of other Tennessee attractions includes the Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg, the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, and the Oak Ridge Laboratories which was part of the Manhattan Project that developed the atomic bomb.

Chattanooga Tennessee, home of the Chattanooga Choo Choo, is growing into quite a tourist attraction these days!
They have the 21st Century Riverfront Project that includes an updated Tennessee Aquarium with an Ocean Journey section, Ross' Landing, home port of the Southern Belle Riverboat, has been made over drastically!
Speaking of the Southern Belle, you can take a scenic dinner cruise on most nights of the week. Coolidge Park and a relatively new shopping disctrict is just across the Tennessee River from the Aquarium.
The Bluff View Art District has lots of "roadside" art, an outdoor art park, the Hunter Museum of American Art, great places to eat, a historic bed and breakfast, and more!
They have an IMAX Theater. They have great dining and a downtown area that's growing and full of things to do. They have a Children's Discovery Museum full of fun for the kids.
You can hangglide or learn to hangglide from atop Lookout Mountain! America's largest National Battlefield, the Chickamauga/Chattanooga National Military Park is located immediately to the south.
Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park is just across the state line in North Georgia. The Chattanooga Ducks can take you on an amphibious tour of downtown and the Tennessee River. The Incline Railway, "America's Most Amazing Mile", can take you straight up, and I do mean straight up, to the top of Lookout Mountain! See Rock City Gardens while you are there. Ruby Falls takes you deep inside Lookout Mountain Cave amidst natural formations and a waterfall inside the mountain!
The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum offers train rides and railroad history for those interested.
Water ski, jet ski, go boating, or fish on Lake Chickamauga. Camping facilities abound around the lake.
You can go canoeing, kayaking, and whitewater rafting within an hours' drive.
The scenery is "to die for"!
There's a lot more I can't even think of...and it doesn't include in-breeding like one of the funny replies suggests. :-)

There are lots of things to do in TN. Nashville is a great city where you can walk around downtown all day. Memphis has Graceland, Chattanooga is one of the cleanest cities I have ever been too (and the Aquarium is awesome with the IMAX theatre). Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are in the Smokey Mountains where you can ski at OberGatlinuerg...just about anything is up for grabs there. Also make sure to eat some southern cooking :)

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is nice, especially off-season. There are chalets for rent with incredible views at reasonable prices. There is country-music related stuff in Nashville if that's your thing.
