I will be going to college in california this fall... I will be out of state but the out of state tutition is just as expensive in state at schools in Missouri. I have always wanted to move to Califronia to live.

I am flying out in June to get a better look at all the place but here is the main places I am considering.

SAN DIEGO -> San Diego State
LOS ANGELES -> California State in Northridge (San Fernando Valley)
LONG BEACH -> California State in Long Beach
SACRAMENTO -> California State in Sacramento

California Sate in Northridge is the only university that I am accepted into for the Fall semester (the one approaching), all the others I would have to wait till Spring and just attend Community College in a nearby community by the University.

I am trying to decide whats the best place to go and why?
I heard some amazing things about LA and then some bad... basically I am wanting a nice place to enjoy with things to do and a good cultural background city.

Thanks

I am really trying to figure out what to do and why not ask on here and see what people think. Dallas, Los Angeles, or Europe for a little while and then back to Dallas.

To be more specific,I mean Sanibel and the surrounding areas. We're going tomorrow and we're only a few hours by car so we'll have the majority of tomorrow and all of Friday and part of Saturday to do stuff. We need child-friendly things to do.

I qualify for the Visa Waiver Program, as a British citizen with a new passport to fly to America.
Do I therefore need to fill out any forms or anything to 'sign up' for the program, or do I just go ahead and fly? I have searched the US Embassy website but it didn't let me know what steps to take in order to fly under this program, just that I do qualify.
Who or where should I contact? Or do I just buy a ticket and fly to America like I were going to Europe?

Thank!

My husband and I have been offered jobs in Florida and in different parts of Colorado. We live in NM which is a desert, always dry and with windy dust storms. My house is never clean due to the constant dust. Our allergies to the dust mites are getting worse and we are tired of the dirt roads and weeds. So we are ready to make a change.
We want to go somewhere green and beautiful. We all know that Florida is beautiful. We are being offered a job in a coastal city in Florida. It's a smaller city, but it is still near all the awesome attractions. However, there is the issue of the Hurricanes! In Colorado we are being offered positions in different areas of Colorado. I have been to some areas of Colorado and think that is a beautiful place. However, there is the issue of the cold and snow. I am a sissy when it comes to the cold. So if you were in my place, what would you prefer to risk, a hurricane or a snow storm that can cause blizzards and being covered up to 5 feet deep.
