What else is there to do besides shelling on Sanibel Island? Especially for the kids.?

To be more specific,I mean Sanibel and the surrounding areas. We're going tomorrow and we're only a few hours by car so we'll have the majority of tomorrow and all of Friday and part of Saturday to do stuff. We need child-friendly things to do.

The beach is beautiful and entertaining enough. The island has a lot of pretty shells, and you may find the occasional shark tooth. The Edison home outside of Ft. Myers is a nice little day trip.

We did the gator tour in the Everglades - not too far away from Sanibel. Just chill on the beach.. enjoy the sunsets, and have some Conch Soup!
