If you're taking I-10, the closest town to the midway point is probably Schulenburg. It's 96 miles from Houston, and 101 miles from San Antonio.

My guess is Schulenburg. Its about an 1hr 30 from each. My guess is that there is a Subway and 2 gas stations. Good luck.

If you are meeting someone then Schulenberg is probably the best choice. There are some great bar-b-cue places close to I-10.
