I actually asked this before, but the answer that I got wasn't specific. I'm thinking about taking Amtrak if it gets me there, but to be honest, I don't have any experience taking buses or Amtrak, so if you are to answer, PLEASE be specific.

We live in central Oklahoma, my son is 14 years old, and we're looking for a short trip that would be fun for him and a friend. Any ideas? They like go karts but already have four wheelers and motorcycles. I was wondering about Dodge City, KS. Is there enough there to make two or three days of it?

My fiance is VERY determined to get me to move to his home state of Maine. I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland. I have visited Maine a few times and it IS very nice. I guess the dilemma I have may be more psychological than anything. My family is here in Baltimore, my fiance has limited family in Maine....they are mostly estranged. I'd love to live and raise my children in a better environment just need that extra push i guess.

I currently live in southwest Michigan. Although it's a great place if you have a steady reliable job and a family, I have neither. I am 28 year old single female with a large dog. I work in the bar industry and travel down to New Orleans to work, since our economy sucks. The money is good in N.O, but not a place I'd like to live. I've been to Chicago, great city with lots to do and great public trans, but too cold in the winter, too expensive, and too conjested.
I'm looking for a place that I can get a job fairly easily. On the cheaper side of rent, but I do understand the prices reflect income. A place where it is easy to meet people and make friends since I will be moving and living alone. Safe, pet friendly, and hopefully some sports teams. I enjoy being outdoors and would prefer being near water. Also some kind of public transportation, or an area where I could walk or ride a bike. I don't mind heat and humidity, but I'd prefer no more snow.

My nanny is from the Philipines and she holds a Philipino passport. She has a temporary working permit in Canada. We are Canadian citizens. Our family want to go to Disneyland in United States. I don't know what or how to prepare paper work for her to enter into the US. We plan to visit in July, 2007 and take her with us. Please help to provide steps to get paperwork done. Thanks!!

My parents are moving to san diego, cali and I want to be close (ish) to them. I have been to san diego and the oc/hollywood/las angeles areas. I don't think I would make it out there right away because cost of living is so high. I've also been to vegas, but no other parts of nevada. Any reccomendations for western states?

I had something come across my fax machine about a 10-day trip to Florida for $300* (the *= must pay taxes and see a timeshare presentation)
Is this really too good to be true?

Please give more than an estimate if you can. Also, I was told by mapquest and another Yahoo "answerer" that I must travel through Tennesee and Texas but those states have been hit with major storms/floods. So can you please give an alternate route. Thank you
