I currently live in southwest Michigan. Although it's a great place if you have a steady reliable job and a family, I have neither. I am 28 year old single female with a large dog. I work in the bar industry and travel down to New Orleans to work, since our economy sucks. The money is good in N.O, but not a place I'd like to live. I've been to Chicago, great city with lots to do and great public trans, but too cold in the winter, too expensive, and too conjested.
I'm looking for a place that I can get a job fairly easily. On the cheaper side of rent, but I do understand the prices reflect income. A place where it is easy to meet people and make friends since I will be moving and living alone. Safe, pet friendly, and hopefully some sports teams. I enjoy being outdoors and would prefer being near water. Also some kind of public transportation, or an area where I could walk or ride a bike. I don't mind heat and humidity, but I'd prefer no more snow.

First of all, honey, at 28, you are a WOMAN, not a "girl"! Wear it proudly!!

Second, there are lots of places like what you are looking for in the U.S. I could suggest a few, but I think it would be better if you went to a website like http://www.findyourspot.com and go through the survey there, which will then suggest a number of places based on the information you enter. It's actually quite cool ... and accurate!!

i could commence calling around to make certain in case you may get a job first. you do not want to circulate right here and by no skill get a job. Portland is having a complicated time merely like everywhere else with jobs top now. so a techniques as your disabilities anybody city has they're effective and mean human beings. Portland human beings i think of are incredibly effective yet they're are a ton of people who've moved right here from california and different states. so which you be the decide on in case you would be discriminated against.

Seattle. very little snow. lotta rain.

Or Alaska in the summer and Key West in the winter.

Otherwise, Baltimore (great weather), but in all cases try to find a job before you move. craigslist.net

Good luck!
