I am planning my vacation for the coming winter and summer. I would like to go skiing in New England somewhere this winter(February) and would like to do a "trail ride" vacation in the early summer(June). I'm partial to upstate New York/ New England but would appreciate any/all suggestions.

I mean people who can sing and have beautiful voices. Not good looking girls with a cute butt who added breast implants to their charms, and jump around, screaming into the microphones: "baby baby life is crazy, world is lazy", but people who sing. I remember once passing a railway station, and there was a choir in national costumes, both men and women, staying on the steps, signing Christmas carols. God, they were wonderful! They had no accompaniment at all,
just their voices and the conductor. People gathered around and cried, hearing them. Some tried to pay them, but they refused, saying that they missed the train, and were warming themselves up. Later on I found out, that they were from some small village, all of them, just people, and the conductor was a music teacher, and they made a choir, and later on travel all the Europe for free, because they were invited to sing at restaurants, and hotels, and got paid for it.

I live in the Midwest and both my sweetheart and myself have an opportunity to travel together for anywhere between 7-12 days. Our original vacation plans fell thru. I just started my vacation today, Fri 11/02 and will not have to return to work until 11/20. I do not want to travel the entire time but a week to ten days would be ideal. We love roadtrips!!!!! It could involve a roadtrip only or a flight to somewhere and then road travels. Or simply a flight to somewhere fantastic.
Some thoughts we had were to travel by plane to Vegas and then drive a rental across the desert toward California. I have been to 33 states but never the west coast. The prospect is exciting but does not dominate, as we are open to all ideas.

Another idea was to drive down to Memphis and travel across the state of Tennessee ending up in the Smokies. East coast, west coast, north, south, we are ready for a serious adventure. Any ideas of a place to travel to and sights not to miss would be greatly welcome

Me and my boyfriend wants to move to washington d.c. or chicago. We want to buy a house in which ever state we choose. I just finished my courses as a medical assitant and he has years of experience in Retail. Which state has the most job opprtunities for medical assistant? Chicago or Seattle, Wa? What is the salary for medical assistants in both states? Will my boyfriend have a hard time finding a job in retail in any of the two states mentioned? What is the cost of living in those 2 states? How is it in the 2 states? Is it fun for young couples or geared more towards the family life? Do you think we should move there? We are looking to move there in about 4 or 5 years. Thanks

I am moving to America from Germany next year and I am very excited. I visited there for one year as student and love everything about America! Everything is big and there is much more opportunity to get job and make much money. It is unbelievable how much cheaper things are in America. Petrol costs $2.58 USD per gallon but here in Germany it costs roundabout $7.18 USD per gallon! Also milk costs $2.99 USD per gallon in America but $5.60 USD per gallon here! I found one computer of the same model everything the same here in Germany it cost $2 200 USD but in America only $1 050 USD and a full DVD sound system from BOSE cost $3 480 USD in Germany and only $1 199 USD! That is no mistake. Hello? And people are more happy in America and friendly! Everyone in stores say sorry when we have accident but not in Germany. Naja. So why is this so? Why does everything cost so much more here in Europa. France it is even worser. Before I came to America I only heard how good it is but now I know!

I am planning a cross country RV vacation next summer. We are from the Los Angeles area and planning to go all the way to Quebec. We have about a month long to do this, a max of 40 days. Any idea is appreciated. We can not be at high altitudes for a long time due to one of us having a medical condition, but are OK to drive through. We are OK up to 3500 or 4000 feet.
Thank you very much

Several years ago I came across this website.. I *THINK* it was part of Google Earth or something similar.. it would have been about 2 or 3 years ago.. It was like the Satellite pics you see all the time now with maps, except you could actually type in an address or a street and see pictures from the whole street at street level.. They just had major streets but were working on getting more..

I think it was controversial but does anyone know if this website still exists or at least what was it?? It just popped into my head today and thought it would be cool to check out other cities like one I want to move to..
